Val (Joan Van Ark) went to Florida against Gary's (Ted Shackelford) wishes, where she learns that Mary Robeson (Maree Cheatham) was Laura's real mother, and Greg Sumner (William Devane) had her set up and sent to prison. She calls to alert Karen, to protect Meg who disappeared just before Bobby and Besty were out to get on the school bus after school got out.
Meanwhile, Anne Matheson (Michelle Phillips) wants to get back together with Greg, and tries to find him when she discovers she is pregnant.
Back at the school, Gary and Karen cannot find Meg, who may have been abducted by Mary.
Greg’s sister Claudia Whitaker (Katherine Noone) puts out a memo to limit Paige's power. Furious, she leaves to go to Greg's. She starts her car, and suddenly Pierce Lawton (Bruce Greenwood) who supposedly drowned, pops up alive from her back seat.
