best tip i had to learn as a newer player who is now finally pvm’ing hard bosses, it seems like most of RS3 community makes PVM harder than it actually is. the hardest part about any boss is learning not to panic (could take a few hours but it’s not that bad). don’t let anyone tell you, you can’t PVM with revolution on, as a newer player that’s the biggest pile of BS i’ve heard. i’ve watched people pvm hard bosses with revo on and that encouraged me to keep going to see if i really can pvm with it on and trust me you can. (90% of the time i’m pressing my abilities anyways and 10% of the time revo does my abilities when i might be overwhelmed). And lastly do not be overwhelmed by people’s action bars, you’ll slowly build a set that makes sense for you and you’ll eventually feel like you need more bars honestly. For example all the abilities i actually use i keep them toward the top, my defenses are sandwiched in the middle and my switches are towards the bottom of my setup. and to be more in-depth i have heals on the left and my thresholds and ults to the right. (also having an MMO mouse makes PVM MUCH EASIER mentally and more fun) oh yea and don’t be afraid or ashamed to die, it will happen. and experiment and look at every move it might help you in some way to make kill times faster. this is just my perspective from a newer player who’s just learned how to beat and deal with hard bosses. i don’t claim to be any type of pro or anything just a guy giving some advice/insight

I went from not bossing to bossing every other day, basically. Been Practicing zuk for a week. Died many times. Didn't think I could do a deathless run. After trying and trying, I got my deathless run .x3 then went for unlocking hm. Spent another 3 hours trying to theory my own way to get the challenges done for the dps. Bossing is 50% not panicking. As soon as that happens, it's gg. An upgraded infernal puzzle box has been super helpful since it stops adrenaline depletion.

Telos is the bane of my existence. Never had a streak go more than a couple kills without dying and I still don't know what exactly it is that I have a problem with.

With Kerapacs lightning I just get in front of where 2 intersect and dive through it then Combust and Dragon Breath.

I was super disillusioned with thinking you were going to be able to provide something that actually helped with the key-binds, as knowledgeable as you are I thought there wasn't much to be done. dive is amazing for positioning. rather than running/ walking to a spot for a positioning mechanic, dive instead and its much safer and u will land at your destination without worrying about the path your charecter takes

Biggest tip is just dont use brews, blubbers are fine in every situation

One of the buttons on my mouse as the alt and shift key and my main key pressing hand is my left hand that i cycle through combat basics/ thresholds and then same thing with defensive using the shift or alt key on my mouse

I've only just started the video, but yeah, as someone who's been playing rs on and off since the early 2000s, only really using revo after eoc, but mostly playing other mmos, the number of keybinds you actually need for this game is insane, I thought the button bloat in FF14 was pushing the limits, but this...And I mean, unlike ff14 I don't know that there's really a way to address it in RS3 without really cutting into skill expression in a harmful way. It's huge challenge to adjust to from other mmos, but I've been having such a blast with necro that I'm finally working on making the swap to (at least mostly) manual, and that comes with trying to figure out my binds 😅

Keybinds wouldn't be nearly as big of an issue if Jagex would simply allow us to use the Numpad keys like every other MMO on the planet. Right now if you try to use "Num1" it comes through as "1". Same as the top row numbers. Such an unnecessary limitation for a game that has so much shit going on.

Omg okay!!! So I use every letter and every key as well as 3/4’s of the keyboard with shift and most letters / ALT and most letters. But I never thought of SHIFT and the numbered buttons on my mouse!!!!

Really enjoy your video as some one hate most bossing. Tone and feel of your video was a lot more honest and not pressuring i guess be best way i can describe it. Biggest thing i think you missed for probably for quieter group is people are reserved from people. This probably most social i be all week for alot reasons, on RuneScape for older/returning player i think we have to many bad experience from old clans and groups to want to sort through the trash. I will admit are good people and group, sometimes most seen/heard people are worse people. Not saying stick your nose into anyone conversation, but if see someone seeming be harassed or talked down in general game chat maybe just shoot them message. 2006-2009 , 2011-2013 ,2018-2020 , 3 days are times i play and return. OSRS last 2 times has been super rude as community when i try seek help. Another issue (keybinds), but it more issue unrelated your suggestion more to game/jagex. Over complexity of pvm , I personally hate runescape copying all skills and things. That was reason i was never a huge fan of wow, everquest and all those. It's more fact that you need to do so much to boss and even do higher end of slayer now too. It's dishearten, RuneScape got a lot people addicted i feel like because it was simple and fun. I do think, try to figure out all keybinds as you unlock things is great suggestion for new players. They would need try to level up slower to really adapt to everything though. I think my point is as community we keep accepting that bossing is getting more complex, and accepting jagex is going with flow of lets "make it harder". Not saying quit , cuz that not a real way get things done. I do really think as community forgot what gather alot of people to this game in first place. I want stress that i really do think your video will help way more people then most video of this nature. Community reading, RuneScape great game but it doesn't always need more added. Real life gold and diamonds are ugly unprocessed , think that what the game needs more now. Refinement of what is there, i do enjoy alot of direction of new things add last 2years it doesn't seem to forced towards rs3 content. OSRS , im not even give a try this time myself. Anyone OSRS fan and is nice, glad and hope you stay positive with anyone new you meet.

I like my G604 mouse, but it only has 6 thumb buttons. However, I took the tradeoff in exchange for a wireless mouse while sticking to my brand loyalty.

I use it too ^_^ I also use the Razer Tartarus Pro which isn't probably that popular, but I used it in WoW and it made me a lot better, so I have tried to adapt it to Runescape. Does anyone else use one?

the amount of abilities and ability bars has kept me from bossing since the introduction of RS3. Always been a legacy player and probably always will be. Have all abilities unlocked, but I don't use any of them. I will just stick to slayer IF I want to pvm.. I have zero desire to learn how to prayer flick and use 300 abilities fighting a boss.. I am basically all 120 skills already and money is useless at this point.

I’m still struggling doing almost any boss above gw1 🤦‍♂️ and im close to getting max cape… I get confused with the abilities alone, not even those keybinds included😓 i see many videos on what abilitie bar to use and stuff… but i think people have to use them in specific orders to make them useful, because if i try those abilities i feel like doing almost no damage ( i barely survive a gw2 boss with a ripper demon or full inv of food with pack yak ) And i have troubles with how to get into all those perks ( invention and archeology ) most of the times i dont want to bother with it because i dont have the amount of money to get good perks OR i dont have many of the invention parts to make any decent perk at all

The thing that got me into pvm defenitley was, when I realized how abilities work together. I think this is the most important thing to overcome any issue one might have with pvm. Look, a lot of people do have strong equipment before they even know, whats the real benefit or feature of a specific set. But runescape pvm is NOT about good equipment, yes , good gear can compensate bad skill, but this alone never will get you to any Point of meaning or joy. I think it is about how much you know about phases, how you Deal with certain mechanics and how you can get synergies out of Equipment/perks/relics/spells/abilities. Knowing your abilities also brings a benefit on how manual you play. The more you know, the more you want to click your abilities on your own. I am convinced, that everyone with low -med equipment that has those types of experiences and knowldege, and really got used to explore it, can do a LOT more in pvm than anyone who does have barley nothing other😂than equipment. The only thing you need beside of all of this are quests. Srsly, quests DO mather.

Or be like me and don’t use keybinds for your abilities and just click them all. Only stuff I have keybind is food, prayer restore, pray flicking, and vulnbombs. Yes I do Top High-end bossing with no problem. Been doing this way since EOC was release in 2013. Edit: if I did use keybinds for my ability it would handicap me and I wouldn’t be able to do high enr zam, duo/solo Vorago, aod, solo solak, and all those top end bosses.

Am I the only one who feels like RuneScape is unresponsive? Like the delay from pushing button and animations and damage. Just all around feels bad compared to WoW

one thing i struggle with is my layout/ui i have a very basic ui with only 1 bar maybe 2 i would really like to set up my ui somewhat like how you have and learn manual but i have no clue were to start, also i kinda quit my main and now main a iron and havnt done much bossing be4 so its a bit harder to get into since i cant just buy gear
