To know our value is to truly love ourselves, have self-confidence and self-esteem and to let our light shine. Knowing our value is to honor and respect ourselves, even if it means going out on a limb and sometimes standing alone. It is knowing how we like to be treated and spoken to, understanding what we will tolerate and and what is crossing the line.
Some of us grew up in environments where we couldn't learn these things and instead, were victimized and used. We may have come out of years of traumatic experiences and now feel like we're broken and damaged goods. My dear friends, that is simply not true! Don't waste your time and energy continuing to hurt yourself in the way that others once hurt you.
The best way to live now is to know that you are no longer a victim. You can rebuild your sense of self worth piece by piece and completely change your relationship with yourself. By extension, every other relationship in your life will change for the better.
