Sorry to say Lucky really is outdated. Usually, our generation meets through friends or in Schools/University where we have more time to know about the person. The most people I dated were either from my High School or my University. Some people even are dating through dating apps or social media platform. 😅 I think Lucky should really come back to Indian now and get him facts checked. Not all South Indians are conservative. I agree that it's more conservative in villages, but in most of the cities in South India, people date normally, casually, using dating apps and just like northern part of India . I have seen many south indians who are not conservative. There are many south indians who are quite open minded, go clubbing and live just like people in the north. I think it's a misconception to think that all south indians are conservative.

Indians don't date that way, majority old generation had arranged marriage , nowadays we date our friends or friends of friends or use any dating app or colleagues.. We usually don't go to their house rather restaurant or movies

Lucky's point of view is kind of outdated. We do give Money as present in weddings. It's not considered "lazy" these days cause people already have most of the stuff they need and some gifts are just useless and end up piling dust whereas money takes less space and is far more valuable. Where i come from, people even print: NO GIFTS, ONLY SHAGUN (Blessing Money). It's been like this for decades now. Usually big stuff like beds, refrigerators etc. are given by direct family members not guests or friends. The dating scene has also changed a lot. I don't think people go to sacred places for finding dates. Only weirdos do. Young people prefer dating someone from their friend-circle in school or college, clubs or workplace. Trying to rizz up a random stranger would only get you verbally abused and physically beat up in public. Some people prefer to be in an arrange marriage cuz most of them don't got time for looking for a life-partner or dating in general. If the two parties don't vibe well, they can reject the proposals. At least in modern, stable and non-toxic households. Also, Curry and Tandoori aren't the only dishes we eat. Bollywood craze had severely died down cause the industry is full of nepo-babies who suck at acting. I'd rather watch a web-series at home rather than going to a theatre to watch a horrendous movie with a horrible plot, mid-acting skills, horrible remixed songs and unnecessary item songs. Okay, i'm done venting.
