Abstract: How does embracing the perspectives and opinions of all of your stakeholders impact on your safety behaviour and culture? This short talk explores how integrated risk management (including both potential opportunity and threat management) across the entirety of your organisation can help you to acknowledge your elephants (the risks we all know about but don’t talk about) and therefore reduce the number of surprises you face (black swans). A practical and case study-fuelled talk, this simple approach will help you to use a standard technique (risk management) to better listen to your organisation and therefore be more resilient in times of crisis.
