So I did return this product due to the noise. I tried to exchange it for another one but the customer service rep had a attitude and try to tell me that I couldn't return it because it was an electronic. So I got a manager involved and the customer service rep was wrong. I was too annoyed to even go shopping. One day I might revisit this product but if you did buy this product I hope this video helps.

I bought one a week ago from Walmart. It makes the same high pitch noise when plugged in. I thought it was just the one I got but there must be a few out there like ours. You said you were returning yours for a new one. Did the new one make the same noise when plugged in?

Bought model 7000. This is my 2nd year of use. Battery now dead & can’t be changed. Eight years less than advertised! Would not recommend! I’ll replace unit but not with another Knox! Also info/complaint form won’t send. Sorry I bought this!

I truly think this product should be recalled and fixed. After I returned I bought it again with the same issues. I will use different brands.

Bought one in the winter of 2022 and it is late July 2023 and this morning it started chirping, has died. The 10 year battery is a myth.

Totally agree. My alarm lasted only 2 years...will definitely buy a different brand.
