How do you operate the pump, as far as I know the pump should be turned off when all the valves are closed. So how do you manage it with out a logic module? are you using HVAC request to manage the switch actuator?

Hi If I want to use these actuators on the radiator which one you recommend 24V or 230V and can I group them cable wise so each room say got 2 radiators and the signal go to them on the same channel.Great Job thanks !!!!!

Hi, my set-up is similar to yours, though my implementation is slightly different. I have Theben HMT12 (24V) driving my Rehau Underfloor Actuators, the "Call heat" from the Heat Pump is implemented using the HMT-12 add-on relay module. I have individual Gira 3+ Room controllers and in most rooms I take the average of two temperature sensors on opposite sides of the room. However I am confused with one thing: What exactly is the KNX Compliant "Controller Status" Data Point? Does is allow complete control/status of the Room Thermostat through a single Group Address, including two circuit heating & cooling in a single room, e.g. UF actuator control and Towel radiation (in my use case the radiator is Electric driven from a Gira 16 Channel binary actuator) That seems to be the implication. Hi, unsure if you are still monitoring this, but I'll give it a go! I have a similar setup, but with direct electrical heating. The temperature can fluctuate quickly, and Im trying to stop the heating turning on and off repeatedly. Is there a way to effectively program "on at 20.5 degrees, off at 21.5", so that the heaters dont switch on and off every time it dips below/above 21? I dont have the controller, so would be doing this just with the theben controls. Thanks for any pointers!

This is rather academic - if you live in a cold climate with water based underfloor heating. Water based underfloor heating is slow to respond. It takes about four hours or so for the heating to settle to a new temperature. So switching modes can be somewhat unpractical. Besides, at 60+ north, you do wish to keep your thermal mass warm and not pump the temperature up and down. I am not an expert on this, but it sounds counter intuitive and it may well be cheaper to keep the acquired temperature constant compared to a cooling and heating cycle.

Hi, I have watched your video few times, you mention that one of the modes of control you have is that the Varia can control the room temperature of a number of rooms via the HMG 6T as a valve actuator, I presume that the set points are fixed by the Varia and your temperature from the Jung light switches is reporting each actual room temperature to the Varia. Then the Varia send a % single to the actuator to control each zone valve on the manifold to control room temperature?
