Yes...very nice place I went to that place last week....I enjoyed....with my family

I am so happy to see this place once again. I went there in 1998 for trekking (5days). We had our base camp in Berijam lake. My memories overflow and this place is so close to my heart. Everyday we did different treks and one of that was madikettan solai and other one was Sholaa forest. A single Rhododendron tree in the middle of nowhere is a spectacular scenery. I remember fighting with my parents to allow me to go once again in 1999, however denied. This has been in my bucket list for so long and can't wait to trek again.

Recently i went there...nature gods gift....what a place...

மதி கெட்டான் செடி மனிதனின் உடலில் பட்டுவட்டால் நினைவை இழந்து, அதே இடத்தை சுற்றிச் சுற்றியே வரும் நிலை ஏற்படும். இந்த செடிகள் மலைகளில் மட்டுமே அடர்ந்த காட்டுக்குள் வளரும். இதனால்தான் அப்பகுதி மக்கள் மதிகெட்டான் சோலை என்று பெயர் வைத்தார்கள். எங்கள் மலை பச்சைமலையிலும் இந்த செடிகள் இருக்கிறது.

1 day before I go to Kodaikanal.. really i enjoyed nature's gift..🤗

before 4 yrs...we went to that place...awesome experience..and also we saw that madhi kettan solai..😱

In 1990 we were able to go inside madhikettan solai...my grandpa knew all the routes as he was a road inspector. Kathirikai odai is also a nice place but out of reach now

We went to kodaikanal stayed 3days and one day trip to berijam lake nice no.polution no unnessasary sound worth place to see

From Berijam lake to munnar Kerala it is just 62 kms.., unfortunately the link road called "Escape route" banned since 1990.

I have self driven there 7 years back and saw few Indian guars. We have to get permission from the forest office by 5.30 AM, so that we can enter the forest first. If the cab drivers enter before us, then we won't get a chance to see animals because of honking. I guess now they are not allowing the public to drive inside. Nice place to visit!

1994 - 1996 / I stayed at Kodaikanal Public school St. Peters School 2016 Ex-sttaff but happy to see this places in this video.

Last year we went there…enjoyed lot with family..

We went inside in 2002 on couple of motorcycles. We were very lucky as public not allowed on 2 wheels. I had someone known to me working in forest department so it was possible. It was raining heavily that time. We rode all drenched completely from head to toe. Bitterly cold. It was once in a lifetime experience. Went in several times thereafter in 4 wheels, but that motorcycle experience can't be equalled.

Private tour operators charge heavily. Government should take steps to control the tariff. Also there is no auto rickshaw facility. Cabs are charging hefty amount
