I spent 10 years of my childhood in Shillong, having spent many years in a metropolitan city now I still consider Shillong to be my home. The wonderful people, balmy climate, pine trees, sudden and random rain, wonderful cuisine, pears-oranges-jams, music and rock bands and paan-kway; they will always remain part of me wherever I go. Thank you guys for keeping me connected to the city I so dearly love.

I am originally from kerala, but had the blessing of spending my childhood in shillong, and I love this lovely land of meghalaya, awesome scenery , benign climate, beautiful people, and recently had a wonderful revisit to shillong, and finally met a childhood friend after 52 long years, it was wonderful

Nothing brings back the musical talent, warmth and loveliness of the people of Shillong and Meghalaya than the renditions by Shillong Chamber Choir and musical compositions of their brilliant, deeply service-oriented, charismatic leader, Neil Nongkynrih. This song is a haunting mix of courage, hope, promise, strength, love... and I've listened to it 4 times in two days!! Mr.Nongkynrih, please translate it into all Indian languages. Let it become a child sibling of the venerable National Anthem, Jana Gana Mana... I am sure our national leaders would love to bring hope to our citizens through this song.
