What a player. Gets thrown about way to much even when there not, you juys know with kobbie he's got it, he's next level. Seriously if he keeps he's feet on the ground stays focused off field he could become one of the best midfielders of he's generation. He's THAT good. Crazy how he's only 18 😮😮😮

Ideal debut. No mistakes (got away with ballooning first pass rather) and one moment of what he's about, turning while shirt being pulled. He can build on this cameo and deserves squad position ahead of Phillips, IMO. Personally I'd keep him in now on basis he's the future, but let him go to age group tournaments and see if he can run games.

This kid can solve a very huge problem with how England plays. Most times there's no one available for the defenders to pass the ball to in midfield. Most often the midfielders are deep upfield and it creates a gab between the defense and attack. But look at how Kobbie avails himself to the defense everytime they have the ball.

Bellingham could have done that job but he's wasted there, Mainoo frees him up to play further up. Together with Rice England have a very well balanced midfield.

Rice and stones can be a really good role model/mentor for mainoo.... the way they keep giving him the ball, instead of playing it long to the front was a class act.... they're generating the confidence in this little kid.

I feel like a partnership with Rice would complement the midfield very well, it would give them both freedom to do their thing as long as they grow an understanding between each other. Then you have Bellingham in that free role doing whatever the hell he wants, that could be devastating in the years to come.

@shubielechesa8836 when you watch the Liverpool and City game both very good presses of the ball, kobbie done that same skill to turn from defence into attack, Liverpool tried twice and got turned twice, they stopped. He counters pressing so easy.

That's what I don't get about Southgate - its a friendly before the Euros - you know what Rice, Foden etc can do, play those who you don't know about....at least give them 45mins. Kane is injured and Toney was even n't played. So if Kane is injured for the euros, what's the plan? England wont win anything with Southgate.

You see the way he plays,is almost very similar to that of Scholes,Lampard and Pirlo to name a few...Keeps it very simple,always looks for the spaces on the pitch and puts himself there...Knows wherw his players are,and makes simple 1-2 passes and moves into a better position for the return ball before moving into an attacking position. I think the thing that surprises everyone about all this is...His doing this at 18,shows he has a good faootballing brain. I hope that he stays grounded and works to better his game...He could go on to become an even better player...Maybe as time goes on,he can add Freekicks to his game and be more of an arial threat in tbe oppositions box. But,its also extremely important for him to be surround with players with the correct mentality that will help him develope into the World Class player we all know he can become.

tough to use name because there is only one and hes completely unique... mainoo gives off pirlo vibes with composure especially under pressure though. He doesnt have to be bigger. faster. stronger, just has to be better like pirlo who constantly beat pressure with composure. Not something that can be taught at that age. Which is why he should only get better, and he is very strong on the ball in that sense.. hes a pleasure to watch.

Seemed like the Brazilian players were immediately several yards tighter on Manioo than they had been on Gallagher and Rice. Already appreciated more by opponents than his own national team coach.
