imagine you are this freakishly talented at 17.. you play in the hardest position in the modern game on the pitch.. in the hardest league.. at the biggest club in the country .. learning off casemiro. this kid.. i actually dont have words. i feel like i m looking at paul scholes and he s just turned 18.. erik LOVES him btw, i ve never seen a player more natural to picking up the ball deep, running with it, combining with other players in triangles to progress the ball, able to ping a pass from anywhere.. since the likes of scholes carras and wazza.. he has it all literally everything. we might be looking at our own bellingham on a free here. i m absolutely in love with this player.

I think you're chucking around the term "world class" too loosely. Not even Moises Caicedo is world class yet. Mainoo is very good and has the potential to be world class, just like Caicedo does.

He turned 18 just recently . He was 17 when he made his debut last season, he’s still growing. Plus he’s playing a holding role now, so he needs to be calm and scan the game and be composed. Plus speed doesn’t really matter because he always looks like he’s in control of the ball. And I’m sure he can the pace to track runners if he needs to
