Kobe spent 7 years, when he was a child, here in Italy with his father playing in our league. 2 of those years he lived in my town, in Tuscany and we still remeber him, taking shots during the halftime.....showing off his early talent. This news is unbelievable....Farewell champ.

Even more heartbreaking when they announced his daughter was with him. I shedd a tear for Kobe when they announced he passed, but I lost it when they said his daughter passed with him. They where becoming a staple this season in the front row of the games. I was imaging her taking over the wnba in memory of her father, then they said she was with him. KC made the big game n this was my week to celebrate 30 plus years as a chiefs fan, taking the week off. Then my 2nd favorite athlete of all time n his daughter passes. Left the bar, came home n cried with my son who's a senior n kobe was his favorite player. Rest in love Kobe n Gianna, also to her friend n parent who was also passed...

This is so true. Just look at how good and dominant Gianna looks on the court. He was gonna groom/train these kids. I remember him saying not to long ago how he couldn't wait to get in the gym with Shaq's son. I still can’t stop thinking about Kobe. I remember in 2020 that changed my life forever. When I went to the country I got out my sister’s car my sister’s boyfriend told me that Kobe died. I was like are you kidding me? And he shook his head no. At first I didn’t believe him but when I was looking it up on my phone it was true. I was really sad about what happened to Kobe. He was one of my favorite basketball players of all time. I remembered when I was 10 years old I went to my first ever Lakers game and saw Kobe for the first time my mom and I went to say hi to Kobe and when Kobe waived at me I was happy when he waived to me. But Kobe you will be missed and you will always be my favorite basketball player for life.

I remember the day it happened. I was at my job at the AMC Theater in my town (I was a greeter) and this woman comes out of an auditorium crying her eyeballs out. I ask, "Leia's death too much?" (she was seeing the Rise of Skywalker) in a calm but kinda joking tone. She shakes her head and says, "No, Kobe Bryant just died." My heart stopped, I get on my mic and radio the bartender Gabe (Our AMC has a bar, most AMC's do) and I tell him, "Gabe, Turn on ESPN right now." Gabe responds, "What do you mean?" I respond back, "Turn on ESPN Right now Damnit!" He turns on ESPN and I rush up to the bar. My manager, Stephine, storms out of the office and is like, "Alex! We don't-" she sees the headline and stops. Now Stephine was like 5'4 or 5'5 but tough as a bear, she breaks down crying and I hug her. That entire day, the bar was full of people watching the news. Young, Old, White, Black, It didn't matter it had that much of an impact

It’s incredible how this affects me. I didn’t know Kobe and never saw him play in person. I haven’t felt this way about a non family member since Michael Jackson died in 2009. I was always a little jealous of Kobe because he’s only 1 year older than me and he was in the NBA playing with and against Michael Jordan and all the NBA players I grew up watching, and playing with all of our generation players like KG, Webber, Shaq, Iverson, V. Carter, P. Pierce and lots more. I knew I was good enough to be in the NBA but I DID NOT HAVE THE HEART OR CONFIDENCE that he and Jordan had. Much LOVE Kobe, and much RESPECT. REST IN PEACE TO YOU AND YOUR DAUGHTER. My prayers go out to his family.

When my Wife mentioned that TMZ reported Kobe perished in a helicopter crash, we both thought it was simply fake news on FB. Once it became real, my heart ached and I found myself crying like I had just lost a relative or close friend. This is so unreal; it only happens a few times in Life when a celebrity passes and it feels like you knew them and your heart can't differentiate your knowledge and experience of them was from television (or movies or whatever). This man meant more to Sports and Basketball in particular than what we realized, but in the days, weeks, months and years ahead, his Global impact will be recognized like never before. He was a Living Legend and now is an actual LEGEND!!! Still can't believe the Black Mamba is gone, but more importantly, the Husband, Dad, Brother, Uncle, Nephew, Friend and Coach is gone forever. The person that Kobe was finally able to become and showcase was taken away from his loved ones and his adoring fans in an instant; and that is Life; no matter how unfair it seems, it's Life! R.I.H. Kobe Bean Bryant, you will be missed terribly!!! **LOVE**

My father died in a car accident when I was 4. My sister died in a car accident when I was 27 she was 25. Knowing what it’s like to loose a father and a sister unexpectedly I’m devastated for Venessa and the kids. I hope to see a Bryant on the court again someday, I’ll be rooting for you! Prayers for all of the families involved. 🙏 🖤 🐍 🏀

I literally started crying when I found out. Kobe is someone I looked up to since I was 10 years old. I saw him play only once for about 2 min in a exhibition game the Lakers played here in Hawaii many years ago, and I'll never forget it. I watched almost every single game on TV, saw the 81 point performance unfold live on TV, and I never thought this would happen. Rest in peace Kobe, a incredibly intelligent and inspiring person, and a loving father

In high school every morning before basketball practice we'd all be standing around on the court talking about the crazy game Kobe had the night before. One of the fiercest competitors and greatest players of all time, such a sad terrible day.

Arguably the most unexpected and conceivable death of all time.

@Arthur Anderson Celebrities and pro athletes (and friends/family of said celebrities) are so much more likely to end up dead than normal people, that it ALONE is an example of how this world ain’t as “real” as people think it is. Sure, people die in crashes. And hoaxes happen. Rituals/sacrifices happen. Psychological warfare is carried out. And celebrities die in absurd circumstances where the date is coded with gematria, and all the stars and planets line up, and there is endless predictive programming “predicting” the event. I mean, there was LITERALLY a comedy central cartoon less than 3 years ago “predictive programming” the exact way kobe dies... and guess what: this is par for the course!!! This is to be expected by anyone with their brain and soul still intact. Basically... _Super natural forces are at play with kobe’s supposed death, and this entire reality in general._

I still can’t believe this man is gone, I mean I just can’t! I grew up in China and I remember when I was in secondary/high school, pretty much every boy around me who played basketball either became a fan of LeBron or Kobe. To me it was Kobe. This man taught me perseverance, grit, the mamba mentality and all that entails.. He made me believe that you can achieve something if you put in those hours and work your way towards it. He was my GOAT and will always be. Gosh bring this man back!!!!!!
