I admit it, I slanted the Highlights to make Kobe look good. In all actuality, MJ is a far superior player than Kobe is (Young Kobe or Prime Kobe). From Jordan's Prime (88 to 93) he was BY FAR the best player EVER to pick up a basketball.
Michael Jordan is the Undisputed GOAT.
Anyways, back to the video.
Kobe vs MJ in there 2nd game Head to Head. Shaq has returned for this Matchup. Jordan Scores 29 and even though Kobe came off the Bench with Limited Minutes, He still drops 20. Lakers win by 25.

Kobe shoots 45% for his career and MJ shot 49% If you do some simple math if they both took let's say 80 shots Kobe would hit 36/80 and MJ would hit 39/80... It's not that big of a difference... The difficulty of their shots is not factored in as well. For example, 20% of Kobe's shots were from 3... Only 7% of Jordan's shots were from 3... In my opinion Kobe's 45% is more impressive than Jordan's 49% since Kobe shot a lot more 3 pointers

I agree. 1987-1988 season was his best. Won the NBA MVP award as well as NBA Defensive Player of the Year. Alot of folks say he dominated the 90s but he was also pretty dominant in the late 80s too. He just couldn't get by The Bad Boys.

Isn't it amazing how Jordan can take off 3 years, gain 30 pounds, get his ribs broke in his comeback attempt during training just before the season, play for a shitty team and STILL shoot better from the midrange than a prime 23-24 year old Kobe on similar shot attempts....And doing so on bad knees that needed surgical repair, at the ripe age of 39 and 40 years old?? THE GREATEST

And finally after Kobe had that string of big assist games he said to the media 'Hell if I had known this would make the team better I would have done it ages ago' Or something to that effect. Jordan was admittedly a task master but he was respected by his team mates. Yes, even Cartwright and Grant acknowledged Jordan's greatness despite his demanding attitude whereas players were quick to say the didn't want to play with Bryant.

After this season, there will be 19 players in NBA history with at least 4,000 3-point attempts. As it stands, Kobe is #7 on that list in total attempts. Kobe will also be #17 on that list in 3-point FG%. Only 2 guys on that list are worse than him. Baron Davis = 32.0%3FG Antoine Walker = 32.5%3FG What great company to be in.

Essentially, people are forgetting that Kobe went from high school to the NBA. Jordan spent three years in University. He also stupidly played baseball for two years. Tack on 5 years of stats and subtract the years on the Wizards. Pretty simple who reigns supreme. Oh, and in case people were wondering, i'm a Bulls fan and ultimately believe Kobe's/Shaq's Lakers won their rings with one of the best benches ever. Not solely by their starters like the Bulls did.

I've read the books and heard the interviews. I can be objective being a Jordan fan. MJ was notorious for being hard on his team mates, but they all respected him for being what he was - the greatest to ever play the game. Oh please - Kobe has held onto to the ball so many times in precious situations were he was doubled and refused to give it up to others for a game winner. He only started passing because the media were crucifying him for it.

Jordan was 33-35 years old during the 2nd 3-peat. His physical prime ended when he retired in 1993 at age 30 to go play baseball. His numbers during the 1st 3-peat may have been a bit lower because of the defenses back then. Handcheck was legal back in those days before it was eliminated in 1994. Tougher and way more physical defenses back then.

People say that MJ mostly dominated in the 1990s probably because MJ won all his rings in the 1990s. People are quick to forget that MJ had his best season during the 1980s, but remember MJ's early career was overshadowed by the Showtime Lakers and their rivalry with Bird's Celtics. As for Isaiah Thomas, he had a personal thing with MJ and took pleasure in denying MJ as long as he could from his first ring. That is until Scottie Pippen blossomed and helped MJ finally get passed the Pistons.

I agree with a lot of what you say about Wilt. As for the most productive players to play the sport through an entire season, i'd have to go with Mike. Not even Wilt could compare to that guy's playoff numbers or total clutch performances. Wilt is the most dominant regular season player probably ever. But even he'll tell you (which he has) that he didn't have a killer instinct. He just didn't have that overdrive that MJ had.

Except no one never denies,MJ hasn't ever made any flaws in his NBA career.Which goes to show people,MJ has played against tougher and rougher teams back in his days. Michael has even admitted himself at some point of time that he has made some flaws. Except for Kobe on the other hand, who will never admits he's made alot of flaws in his entiren NBA History.Hence! 9 out of 10,MJ has made alot intelligent great decisions!

Kobe's 81 point game was not a blowout. He carried the team from 18 down to win the game. Plus Kobe was and still is always clutch throughout his career. Comparing MJ to Kobe is not accurate until Kobe has finished his career. I am a Kobe fan and a MJ fan. But I have to say that I feel Kobe is the best scorer of all time. You need a point, come to Kobe over Jordan.

Well he had spectacular stats during his second three-peat by taking all three of his last scoring titles in a row prior to retiring a second time. Most NBA historian indicate that MJ's prime ended with the 1998 NBA Finals. But, one could argue the best Jordan played in the late 1980s.

There is a such thing as better career vs better player. It is possible for someone to be better than MJ, but not have a better career than MJ. The best way to judge individual players is by individual production while on the floor, and personal achievements. You can take a mediocre player and put him on a good team, and he'll get more titles than a great player on a bad team. Bill Russell and Wilt Chamberlain are PERFECT examples.

When Lebron starts cranking out the rings, he'll be in the realm of Jordan, Kareem and Wilt. He does everything else and he's ONLY missing the rings. He has good PER and numbers to show his production during his time on the court, all he needs to do is start cranking out the rings. And in order to win rings you need at least another HOF player on the team.

Here's another reason PACE means alot for defense. In 2003-2004, the Pistons were 2nd in defensive rating....7 teams played at a very close pace to the Pistons that season....5 of those teams were in the top 10 for defensive rating. PACE does play a role in what some would call great defense....

Kobe has the 5 rings to prove it. Kobe has the 2 Finals MVP's to prove it. Kobe has the clutch shots in big games to prove it.
