The original reason this was started was because someone got lots of progress on the Unnerfed version of the layout. It’s a remake of the Unnerfed version.

Some people were disappointed in KOCMOC'es decoration being way too cluttered and purple colored, since it was mostly based on the early fan-made decorations, which in turn ruined the menacingly empty and lone feel of the og layout. Unleashed version is Vernam's attempt to make a level that everybody has been expecting to see initially

Honestly, KOCMOC Unleashed’s deco could work well with TON 618-ish gameplay, where the portals moving the player around could be combined with glitchy effects. In all fairness, deep space is an interesting theme for an extreme. Hope Waterfall can come as the new top ice-ish level!

I like KOCMOC Unleased A LOT, but yes I do agree with some points you made. KOCMOC Unleased uses the unnerfed KOCMOC layout but in 2.2. I know the fact that this is a remake of a remake of a remake, but it has lots of effort put into it and even though KOCMOC is still a damn good level, but KOCMOC Unleased is a 2.2 update of KOCMOC. I know I ride on KOCMOC already and ride KOCMOC Unleased even more, but lemme ride what I want to ride.

I feel like "CherryTeam" is getting too much crap about being a corporation just because they consist of a large number of incredibly talented layout creators and decorators (probably the best in the world), which enables them to release very high quality levels consistently and quickly. If you look at their projects you'll see that almost all of them consist of 10 or more people, so of course they're gonna be complete in a couple of months and not 2 years like a solo level of this quality. However, one thing that I have as an opinion about them is that they don't seem to create new artistic trends but rather execute the more realistic art style to perfection (I'm mainly talking about the shading and the effects in their levels), which might be perceived as uninspired or unoriginal, despite the amount of artistic effort that goes into it. I would absolutely love to see more of a designer level from them (think of "White Space" or "ISpyWithMyLittleEye") not only because it will prove a lot of critics wrong, but also because the result of giving so many insanely talanted people creative freedom is going to be stunning.

To be honest, The level looks sick as hell, but there are some parts that look like they we're rushed, ( I mean gameplay rushed not like deco rushed ) like the predrop and the ending, but I still think that the original KOCMOC has way better decoration in my opnion

I think if cherry team nerfed the remakes that they create and or waited longer than .3 seconds to start a remake then i think people wouldnt have much of a problem with their levels.

Original KOCMOC was made to look beautiful, but the unleashed version first of all has to be the difficulty of the old kocmoc layout. Kocmoc unleashed is hosted becouse player arshadow made some big runs on old layout and vernam said, that old kocmoc will get deco so it will be rated

i love that the same people who say this was made for views probably treat the sonic wave remakes like completely original levels xD the KOCMOC that we have now is a modified version of the original KOCMOC layout, this one is a lot less modified (for what i have seen), also i do think this version was made because the team wanted to see what else they could have done with the original layout instead of the one we have rn, instead of doing a purple color palette they go to black, white and gray whilst also changing the theme, KOCMOC having an emphasis on actual space and KOCMOC UNLEASHED having the theme of black holes long story short, this community really has to pipe down

As far as I understand, this version is mainly reffering to the original strictly black and white layout version/showcase video, which is the actual original, not the purtple theme. So, ig, it's in fact the original they for some reason desided to return. Also, 2.2 came out, so, I guess, this was enough for CherryTeam to feel like it's time to make a remake this with new power of the editor as if many years went by

i just think unleashed looks really sick, same as the original kocmoc, honestly i think nerfing to mid or easy extreme would be a really good idea, i would love to beat an entry version of kocmoc since it's one of my favourite levels. In all honesty who cares why cherry team makes what they make, all that matters is regardless of cashgrab intentions or not, they put a FUCK ton of effort into their levels and they come out as some of the best looking levels i've ever seen.

The main thing you missed is the whole reason this level is a thing is because some guy has good progress on the unnerfed version of Kocmoc and cherry promised that if he continued they would decorate the unnerfed version for it to be rate worthy if he verified it.

I agree with some people then they say the level looks empty it does look like it bc in kocmoc unleashed the beginning in just couple of double spikes and triple spikes which is a lack of creativity for the level

In my opinion I think, KOCMOC UNLEASHED is the point of the og KOCMOC layout, now that the veryfied version just doesn’t fit the silent/slaughterhouse remake, and It completely went to another type of design and theme, and unleashed looks like the original KOCMOC layout, with the point of the slaughterhouse remake following the TOP 1 design of slaughterhouse, it’s the perfect KOCMOC we needed.

The main audience of Cherry Team remakes are also people who will probably never be good enough to play the level. If they made low-extreme remakes instead that’d be sick af, I’m sure everyone would be excited to play a well decorated KOCMOC or Tidal Wave at difficulty they can handle, me included.

The main complaint I have are lag issues, unless they release an hugeee uldm some players might not be able to play because of lag because not everyone has a $200 pc or a fricking NASA computer. Like some kid might want to play some hard extremes for the hell of it, (that's what I did anyway) then their game ends up crashing and they lose all of their account progress because they didn't know what saving was. Like my device ends up dropping to 20 fps just because I scaled up 2 particle triggers so imagine the black hole + all the other insane effects going on.

In my opinion, kocmoc unleashed is super mid. Sure it might not be a bad level, but the original kocmoc is MILES better than kocmoc unleashed. I feel like this worse level will outshine the original kocmoc simply because it got released more recently, and it uses 2.2 features.

The KOCMOC layout had many, many MANY changes, and KOCMOC (the rated one) uses the latest one. KOCMOC unleashed uses the first version of the layout I guess the “unleashed” thing is like saying “this is what kocmoc would look like if the layout didn’t get updated”

I like KOCMOC Unleashed just because it does a good job recreating the original layout that people know the level by. I felt like the rated decorated version just turned the level into something else because the decoration was something completely different from the og KOCMOC. So KOCMOC Unleashed is more of what I wanted the decorated version to be which is why I prefer it more.

It's an alternative version, not a remake

Kocmoc unleashed looks great, reminds me a lot of ton-618 with its deco and theme, but also manages to be distinct and do its own thing. That said though, given that this is UNNERFED kocmoc, i doubt this will have a lot, if any, progress/victors for a while. Still something cool to look foward to though.

I just don't like the fact that the black/white color scheme is executed HORRIBLY in this level. Full black with white bits or the opposite never worked.

I'm not 95% sure the reason why this level was made was because a member of Cherry Team has super good progress the original "top 0" layout of KOCMOC and they wanted to decorate it and slightly tweak it to let that member verify it ig

The decorated Kocmoc is a disappointed both gp wise with all the move triggers and theme wise so Unleashed Kocmoc is exciting. I definitely think Kocmoc fits with a grey theme more.

I thought for ages Kocmoc unleashed was a joke level, there's seriously people out there in this community that believe the original Kocmoc already needs a remake?? Absolute waste of time and skill

I think it looks amazing so far, Culuc's part is probably the best 2.2 deco we have seen so far, the black hole near the end of the drop is probably one of the best things i have seen in the game, I thought Vernam was showing footage outside of Geometry Dash when he uploaded it on the Cherryteam channel, the ending and immaxx1's parts are also great. I don't know if any other parts are finished to be fair but so far i think it could get a legendary or even godlike rate. Yeah maybe the original Kocmoc didn't need a remake and it would be a good idea to have a level like this be easier or with more original gp but i still love the level so far. I dont think Cherryteam is full of soulless creators, im sure the only level from them i can call soulless is binary life. Almost every other cherryteam level has something interesting going on. Also I think the community desperately needs to be more positive, most level discussion I see nowadays tends to be somewhat negative and it feels like people just don't like anything. Edit: My favorite remake and probably one of the best levels is Dark Odyssey

guys, once again KOCMOC UNLEASHED WAS NEVER A REMAKE TO A KOCMOC. It is a deco version of old KOCMOC without nerfes that a current KOCMOC got but with quite a lot of buffs. Yes, renaming the level could make it somewhat better but its not "unoriginal" in any way, escpecially in comparison with KOCMOC of today. These two levels are related only by their name and the fact that both of them are deco versions of an old layout (tho kocmoc had new cube parts and Kocmoc unleashed doesnt).

it's not that deep Arshadow started making good runs on the unnerfed version of KOCMOC, which would be seen as impossible back in 2021, thus why the remake was created
