I loved every second of this, even that mortal wound you experienced! The photos and coastline were STUNNING, however there was more about this video that I loved. It was that evolution, and homage to your homelands. Going back to places you know and love, places that have special meanings to you is just.. I can't put it in words. This really wasn't a video about photography or kodak gold - they are just the mediums and tools that you've used to tell a story from the heart. This spoke to me in serendipitous ways!

I’m so inspired by these shots man. The ones of your family and baby on the beach were just stunning. And this idea of revisiting old photos with new shots is just genius. I’m definitely going to try to incorporate some of that in my own photography!

My cheaper film stock is B&W. Have you considered developing yourself? Try B&W first. Cinestill has a one shot developer that is makes it very easy. Then for color they have a 2 shot formula. Both have worked very well for me. Also, don't buy a Leica. Use that Leica money for more film :)

Musa how do you know I want a Leica 😂 All great points I must say. I used to develop & scan my own film, it was a whole lot cheaper than labs you're right but now it's a little less feasible than it used to be for me. I definitely need to shoot more black and white as well. I'm thinking of doing that for a while now, so thanks for the inspo!

These days, I enjoy shooting with expired/discontinued film with a Nikon L135 AF, since I have more of these as compared to fresh stocks. This is also because of the high prices of new stocks so I am more careful when planning to buy them. What I love about using expired film is the unpredictability and the interesting color palettes I get after I get it developed. Well, sometimes I get blank ones but that's alright. Btw hello from the Philippines!

I love expired films so much! It's got such great character compared to fresh stock, but it's always a gamble compared to fresh stock!

My damn tripod caused that flesh wound, but you'd be forgiven thinking it was the beastly sharpness of the Mamiya glass. I can't wait to see what you make in Portugal with your M6 Bon! Travel safe and enjoy it!
