Kodaline is literally so underrated. Although I really want them to get the fame they deserve, I kind of like how they're not too famous. Their gigs feel so much more intimate than bigger bands' and there are not tons of bodyguards surrounding them when us fans want to talk to them, you know.

As my 15 year old cousin was taken off life support this song was playing from her playlist on her phone. Hearing this song brings me back to that moment... That moment when my heart broke into a million pieces, when everything changed, and a part of me went missing that will never return. Although it hurts, I listen to this song often it breaks me but heals me at the same time.

I think his voice is very old style. He sings his pain. The pain directs the notes. He's very good. I like watching the way they move and some of the dance movements which clearly reflects their Irish heritage. His voice is mournful. I love the way they stomp out the pain. I know at times I've wanted to do the same thing. It's truly awesome.

Almost 10 years ago, as a mildly depressed kid I stumbled upon this song, at a time where it is still to me, lowest point of my life. This song had ripped my heart open, to think that I was undeserving of love from someone I thought could finally see I am worth it. I was resentful, lost, and doubting my worth. Eventually this songs and many songs in that Kodaline album, had helped me heal, with a change of environment and a recovery from depression. 10 years later, funny enough, I am in the same spot again, but with a 6 years relationship on the line. This song still shouts to me the same pain, but luckily also offers the same comfort. If she has really decided to go, all I want now and then is for her to be happy.

I found this video to be simply spectacular. I just adore and love how they managed to take this song that, at least sounds, to have a lot of effects going on in the studio and condense it to the vocals, guitar, tambourine, and stomping in the room and making it that much more raw and the emotion so much more prominent is just so amazing. I think that everyone needs to and should watch this. This video is a perfect example of less is more as well as that you don't need to have a song with so many instruments and things going on to have a good track, of anything this video contradicts that theory I've heard. Well, I know what I'll be showing my music teacher!
