Q: What is the difference between test version and final version?
A: Besides combo changes, I added character voice that were abruptly cut off by K.O. scream.
This is due to Neogeo can't handle two sound effect at the same time, thus earlier sound effect will stop playing if newer one starts. This does not occur on PS2 version, can't say the same with other releases.

Even though I made some of these combos manually (not so many because most of them are super difficult to do by hand), all of them were later redid with TAS, which cleared out human errors and tided up combos overall.

It's a phenomenon called projectile multi-hit, not exactly a bug or glitch, but a result of game design. When a higher level projectile collides with a lower level projectile, higher level projectile gets one extra hit and lower level projectile disappears. In this case, Kula's Diamond Breath somehow doesn't disappear, so Athena's Crystal Shoot gets a lot of extra hits.

It's one example of a category of glitch called hidden super. It's using different methods to use some moves that are stored in game files but blocked by game developers. In Athena's case, the data of MAX Phoenix Fang Arrow isn't complete, when it's used, part of Psychic 9 is used instead. That's why you see Athena in school uniform there.
