Aamir's bhai answer literally meant that "bhai(bro)would never sink".. It could be referred to his movies which were doing extremely well one after another or his personality where somehow he always manages to out of sticky situations and this undefeatable type of aura he has around him...there are people who hates him for his flaws and there are people who loves him with his flaws.. We have seen both the sides of him, good and bad..

I think it was said because Salman has been trying to create a Rajinikanth kind of image, so just like Rajinikanth is said to be infallible in the jokes, Salman would also remain unaffected by everything. Post Dabangg, all his movies were successful, regardless of their quality. So Aamir made a joke similar to the jokes made on Rajinikanth or Chuck Norris.

Bhai is used for a gangster too, but on a lighter note its used as a sign of respect to someone who is kind of badass, fulfils his promise, is tough but have a good heart. since Salman khan has this badass attitude, he does action movies and he started the trend of bodybuilding, the cop universe movies, and have tough guy persona with kind heart who does a lot of charity, people call him Bhai (which is like big brother).

Salman helped alot of his co actors in Bollywood, for example hritik roshan in his initial days, Salman allowed his personal gym for working out whenever he wants to and motivated him. Same as goes for arjun kapoor. He helped Dia Mirza when her mom had medical condition etc etc so i think when someone older than helps you, you consider them big bro type, and after wanted majority of the people started calling him Salman bhai

Salman Khan is one of the most popular philanthropists in the film industry and in Indian culture especially for people hailing from mumbai, the term Bhai refers to this elder brother who is your 'go to' person for anything you need, a dominating don like figure is addressed by that term and somehow because of the way Salman has been over the years like always being there for his friends and strangers alike, he has earned that term....so what Aamir meant was that there is no point saving Him because there is no way this BHAI will drown.....a superhero like reference there.

Artistry hasn’t always been Aamir’s forte - clearly you haven’t watched Mela and Andaz Apna Apna. He shifted his mentality in the 2000s. Karan is underrated. He clearly had his finger on the domestic and international public pulse which is why KKHH and K3G were blockbuster hits and not just bubble gum films. He experimented with Kal Ho Na Ho, KANK and MNIK and that paid off too. He doesn’t get the credit he deserves because of his larger than life persona. I’m shocked that he’d wanna marry Bebo. I thought she was like a child to him.

Bebo is just 7 years younger to him. Also, you mention Mela and Andaz Apna Apna in the same sentence??? I like KJo as a person (like a commoner can from a distance), but come on, even Sajid Khan has made blockbusters. That doesn't make you a good filmmaker. I remember waiting for k3g for like 18 months since before it came out (coz SRK-Hrithik combo was reported then) and then was so let down. Kuch kuch was a medicore film for even the 12 year old me. If you liked these films, I'd say to each his/her own. But I wouldn't make a sweeping statement that he's underrated. Mnik isn't even half as good as everyone feels.

@@Englishwithrohitraina i can understant all what you said but not about my name is khan, and you sait it taste is not quality, My name is Khan donnt even have half of the of recognition and appreciation that it deserves, and if we did an analysis, my name is khan does not have half as many holes in the script as PK or 3 idiots (two of my favorite Aaamir Khan movies), which are highly valued films (and they deserve it, they are good, not perfect but good) but My name is Khan they only take it as less for being something directed by Karan Johar as if having had mediocre films like KKHH prevents and prohibits making good films. People in India need to learn to value a product for what it is and not for who it is related to, and the fact that today all Bollywood is branded as garbage, shows this problem that indians have even more, when despite the bad products Commercials of famous actors like Akshay do not define all of Bollywood, much less erase the fact that Bollywood is still putting out good movies, as all the others indians cinema industriesby. I hate saying Bollywood because it is Hindi cinema but It is part that it is easier to understand what I mean. There are many movies (like Sadar Udham, I feel it very slow even for me when I love movies like Aligarh) that I do not like but I will not say that they are bad or not so good (when they are good), learn to be more objective to time to talk about a movie.

As for your remark on indians trash talking our own movies, there is also a section of Indians that thinks Anurag Kashyap is some sort of a messiah filmmaker. But more than that "Brother" is also a way to address underworld Dons in Mumbai. It's similar to"Boss" Salman is bossy, has an attitude which none of the superstars have. It stayed because of his huge charity work especially with respect to paying for operations of ordinary people who come from very poor backgrounds(even from tv n the film industry who don't have enough to pay huge bills) Inspite of some really huge disastrous events n turns in his life ,Salman Sir does substantial charity work, so the name Bhai stuck 🙏🌹(There are others especially Aamir Sir who do the same kind of charity work but 'Bhai'is always Salman Khan Sir.) Malaika ji is our 'Chaiya chaiya' girl n was his (Salman's)sister in law (I think)at the time of this interactive session ☺️😍

"Bhai " in India is also used for a person who can actually like intimidate other person .. Or who has sort of bad temper or a person who can loose temper easily. Something like that. Like a bully. But keep his promises and can do anything for loved once and noone would want to end up in their bad books. Salman has also done many films like Wanted etc where he has played such roles. Please allow me to clarify my comment. When I say Salman comes across like a boy next-door, I mean he comes across like a regular guy. He’s sometimes funny he sometimes gets angry or is arrogant, he does stupid things, etc. SRK while being very charming, works very hard to maintain that public image. And as far as I can tell, Amir is pretty consistent in terms of how he behaves in public. I think Salman comes across as somebody real and flawed and not a phony and that is why people love him no matter how good or how bad he is.
