Koh Yao Noi, Thailand: Is This Thailand's Most Beautiful Island?
On today's episode we sadly leave Koh Tao. We loved this little island, the people, the snorkeling, and the charm. We could have easily spent several more days exploring the island, but it was time to move on to Koh Yo Noi.
This amazing island is all about the wildlife. Located 45 minutes from Phuket, we were shocked to be surrounded by so much beauty and interesting animals.
During the day, we took in the beautiful views, birds, and lizards. Most notable was the large Asian Water Monitor lizard on the resort. Today, we saw him crawl out from under the pool deck, which we were not expecting. Throughout our stay, we could see his tracks all over the resort.
Through the hotel, I booked a half-day snorkeling trip, and I was so glad that we were able to get in the water one last time before our trip ended. Our guide and captain were great. They taught us all about the swiftlets and showed us some amazing places to snorkel. We saw some of the most colorful coral and new, interesting marine animals.
The three days went by quickly, and before we knew it, we were headed to Phuket to end our Thailand journey.
