Of all the fish, someone who have cooked koi mach knows how diificult it is fry this fish. Not only the splitting burning oil but it is very difficult to fry and keep the fish in one piece with the skin intact. I usually coat it with a thin film of oil to achieve so. But hats off to you Insiya. Your level of PATIENCE IN COOKING IS AMAZING.

Great videos and recipes. Really showcases quintessentially Bengali home cooking. In our kitchen, we do not use the cardamom, cinnamon or cloves with fish. Otherwise, the recipe is similar. During winters, we also add flat beans ("sheem/cheem") in addition to potatoes, cauliflower and tomatoes. Lot's of love from Bangladesh!

I usually use gota gorom moshla for kaliya preparations or doi mach. Essentially epaar opaar bangla cuisine is same. I like my fresh dhonay paata garnish with gondhoraj lebu as a accompaniment. Ideal for summer or winter. Your recipes are very authentic. 👍👍

How do u guys divide 5 fish among two people? You guys always do that....cooking odd number of fish. In the end I am left wondering whether saptorshi got the extra fish or insiya.

my cooking is very similar to this, every day cooking...but don't use garam masala on a regular day cooking..and phulkopi ta ektu bhapiye ni,or else we don't know where the kopi grows so it leads to stomach ailments.nice presentation.
