WayV gave us everything and more! I think after moonwalk this is my favourite title track from them. Honestly, the whole mini album is amazing!

I think it’s actually because they knew Winwin would be out for stretches of time so they had to accommodate what a 5 would look like. The MCountdown stage has a tight 5 formation.

Hendry looks so frustrated, it's obvious (in my opinion) that something is hurting him. His movements with his shoulders especially aren't full out, but he wants them to be and it looked like Xiaojun checked on him at one point during the performance. He probably wanted to be part of the comeback stage so badly that he powered through with an injury.

It's such a crime that the English version of this song didn't make it on the album because they killed that version of this song on the Mnet Stage as our boys always do, even when missing a member's presence but this whole album is absolutely *chef kiss* no song skips🥰🥰

I think the gap in formation may actually have been because they also arranged that choreo for 5 people (with Winwin away in China again) rather than because it was for 7... I noticed the formations seemed a bit strange when it was 6 of them but a lot better with 5 - there are times with the 6 of them where one member is completely obstructed by others, which is just so strange for WayV as they usually have really good formations in the choreos. It wouldn't surprise me if SM asked for a 7 person possibility as well though just to cover all bases.

Hendery seems a bit more comfortable in the Mnet performance from this week, which is a more recent performance. It's also the Phantom English version (minus Winwin unfortunately) - def recommend you check it out!

I'm convinced that Turn Back Time is that bitch but then Phantom comes through and ruins me. Although the only thing I dislike is Lucas's absence, I gotta say I enjoy this come back as it is. Besides, it's The Phantom of The Opera inspired, how could I not love it? Not to mention the b-sides! My man Yangyang is so fine in this era I remember passing out on the day the MV was dropped.

As far as I know Hendery had an injury back in Nov, so I guess yea..

The problem with even numbered groups is that the formation either leaves a gap or they shift them around leaving someone hidden by the ones in front.

i'm soooo glad they're back! they always deliver. xiaojun rly stood out to me this comeback, it's fun to see his growth over the years and i cannot imagine how powerful he'd be if promoted properly. hoping this means more consistency for wayv in the future bc i missed them! and i agree re: hendery. he's never stood out to me as a weaker dancer compared to the rest but this comeback something seems off? happens from time to time. hopefully, he's doing alright!

I think Hendery was just having an off-night during the live, they do have very intense filming, practising and rehearsing schedules, especially in a comeback and Hendery has been working with both WayV and NCT for comebacks. If you do look though, it seems to be energy maintenance when he's not on camera. From a wide perspective like this, we're missing some of the nuances with the camera moving around. The Idols are very aware of their camera time so if he was tired or just not feeling himself he could save it for when he's not on camera. I'm going to let him have the benefit of the doubt for one performance. As for the spot, I did notice that as well. Now that SuperM has been announced for a 2023 comeback, will Lucas come back and is WayV keeping a space for him as he slowly readjusts to an Idol's schedule?? I think from the SuperM announcement trailer, they did highlight one of the members with a red colour as opposed to the EXO and NCT green colours so some people are thinking it will be a new member and that Lucas won't return. I'd really like him to return especially since most of what was accused has been proven false. The fact that SM is keeping him under contract but unable to perform is cruel. Every Idol who signs a contract with a production company understands (or their parents are expected to) that the company puts money into you for all your training during your trainee days. Idols are expected to pay back these debts by continuing to perform. The bigger the groups, the more money the company puts in, and the bigger the debts are to settle. In the case of Lucas, he can't work to pay back his loan because SM won't release him from his contract and instead is just keeping him on hiatus. An extended hiatus I might add. Most behaviour hiatuses last a few months and the Idol can return having learned a valuable lesson. Here it's a case of SM wanting to save face for not doing an investigation before making Lucas make a public statement about something that was untrue. They will never tell us what went on because that's just how Koreans are about their pride. I pray one day they will release him from his contract and he can join another company and continue to pursue his dream.

Im excited for the Good Life track video and the Broken Love live clip to be released soon from WayV’s mini. Also I hope you React to the SMCU Winter Album. SM always kills it with Winter Album. The combination/lineup of Sm idols on each song were chosen so well. I loved almost every track. Changmin/Taeyeon/Winter on the same song need I say more. One track literally consists of SM resonant/warm male voices. Although they are probably going to preform the tracks for the online Winter SMtown tomorrow

Micah, I've watched your reaction 4 times to calm myself down after ranting on the community tab LOL. I'm still in shock over Phantom and the deep voices. What got me was knowing which parts would have been for Lucas - I've had to go back and listen to Kick Back and some of their older songs. I really miss the vibes, sound, and energy Lucas brings to WayV. I'm happy you pointed that out in the Phantom MV - the open space. I thought it was my imagination the first few times I watched it and then it reminded me when SHINee performed Atlantis and they did something similar a few points throughout the video. There is a video over on Hello 82 and I'm in shock how much more confident Winwin has become and how much cringe Yang Yang actually endured. It was a dose of chaotic energy I've missed so much from them.

Probably just looks like a gap is in some parts of the choreo because they had to restructure it after their comeback was delayed. Mostly just looks like they're leaving a window so you can see who's dancing in back though.

Thank you for pointing out the gap. I have a theory that may be way off, but I think it's possible that Lucas was allowed to have been in this comeback, but that he, himself didn't want to bring any tarnish to it for the sake of all the other members. If what I'm thinking is correct, he'll be coming back with SuperM and then re-joining WayV after that. Just a theory... only time will tell.

The only I don’t like about the phantom mv is the formation of the v with one member in the back so we don’t really see that member, otherwise, ❤

I just want to know why their comeback stage was so small? They were all bunched up on that stage swinging arms while trying not to hit each other. Also I feel like this was the title track they were initially going to release before the Lucas stuff happened because of all the talking parts. I'm thinking that instead of scrapping the title track and redoing things they just took out lucas, gave winwin more than 1 line and just left the choreo as is even though it's been so long since the original plan. I wonder if SM was going to try and slip Lucas back in but changed their mind because every time lucas has popped up on insta and in a photo with Kai the response hasnt been super positive🤔 I did not like this song at all tbh. Wayv deserves better than this song.

i think the lies)scandal may have affected his family/surroundings... You know how even when sth is a lie the rumour in itself can ruin your life, and the big damage was because they did it on purpose when the me too movement was high in China, with some famous people there being accused and in trial, like actual criminals. So having those haters spread that at the time could be enough to affect his family (in Chika, well Asia in general, the 面子，"face", reputation.. is very important, also confucianist values of respect and obey the elders etc... i'm guessing this affected his family's lifestyle and position, and it's not only just the idol alone dealing with it). SM obviously don't fire people due to lies (that even if those were true, it'd be a case of being an not cool boyfriend...) so if they are waiting like this i'm sure it's because Lucas +family have a say too on this whole issue

i kinda think this is like in "honour" to Lucas, like he is the phantom in the group, but they all sing in low tone to make him present somehow. Also the lyrics talk about the fake people, the lies, masked reality vs truth... i do believe they refer to haters and their lies and evilness. And they are also like phantoms waiting in the shadows to pull the away and bring them down... Just my view😬
