This is why i love SM!! Their vocals never disappoint. Also i see that most of their artist keep on getting better and better. Even some of them don't have vocal position but after years of practicing they even become lead vocalist.

There's this prejudice of knetz that idols aren't really singers, they rarely consider idols as a 'singer' (also one of the reasons why majority of k-idols solo songs flop in S.K) and apparently Taeyeon, is one of the few who they actually considered as one which why she does chart well.

She performed a lot of songs that are "less popular" but are quite groovy during her concerts; all night, baram x3, cover up, stress. Taeyeon has always dreamed about being a live vocalist so I think she found her comfort zone in ballads. Her voice has always carry such emotions which is why she was featured in so many OST soundtracks. As she mature and get to explore music a little more for her solo projects, we see her dipping her toes in jazz, R&B, disco, etc. I don't know if she'll ever want to do faster beats than the ones I listed above but I'll look forward to it

Good to see CeeCee back! I've probably watched Taeyeon's killing voice a thousand times since it's release (put eng subs on it Dingo!) and I love the setlist she did and to think there's plenty more great songs from her. Wish she'd go on for a round 2 with another setlist :D edit to add: Taeyeon's skill to transition to/from head voice and back is just so beautiful!

I think this is one of the very few Korean musical entertainment shows where they don't use pitch correction in post. I can hear most pitch correction, and I'm pretty sensitive to it because I've used it in projects I've mixed. I know where I would use it in this performance (almost all descending passages. for most vocalists), and it's not there. Those last three songs (INVU, UR, and Drawing Our Moments) are vocally demanding, and the fact that they sound so clean without pitch correction is just amazing. By the way, I think that's why vocalists look like they are sweating even before they begin a Killing Voice appearance. They know there's no net, no editing, no pitch correction. You nail it for 20 minutes, or you start over.

I squealed when I saw CeCe on thumbnail and I squealed again when I saw it was Taeyeon’s Killing Voice. Even tho she does have more up tempo songs, I feel like most of her strongest (and my personal faves) songs are the ballads and mid tempo tracks. Plus it’s known that Taeyeon is that girl who only sings ballads at the Karaoke. Ooooh and If you want to see a taste of a potential Taeyeon’s bad bitch era , I suggest having CeCe react to her I GOT LOVE MV , which I think was a pre-release MV for the My Voice album

I love all the songs on the setlist too, but I wish they would've included I Got Love, Why, Stress, Something New or #GrlsSpkOut just to spice things up a bit. But then most of her most popular songs are ballads so her hands are tied ig lol

23:00 the fact that it took to this point in Killing Voice before Taeyeon pointed to her throat basically saying "this is tough on me" shows how powerful and skillful she is.

Did CeeCee know that Taeyeon debuted with Girls Generation in 2007? That's important. She is the Leader of that group and obviously she was a seasoned veteran of vocals before she did her first solo project in 2015.

Cuz I am too.😭 Why is it so hard for her to do a world tour and next year in feb she would be in france for MIK Festival but the heck it is so far.
