Loved the reaction. It was interesting hearing about where you saw aspects of growth in the team in the 3 months from Tippy Toes to Mascara and the almost 7 months from Mascara to Shooting Star and Left Right (although they were already amazingly in sync at debut). I think your point may still stand around needing these 7 members - it's not clear what will happen when Hikaru's contract with Kep1er ends other than that she will come back to XGALX. Maybe we will learn more as the Xtra Xtra documentary goes on?

I love how you said you wonder if they like the music better bc thats essentially what it is! They all grew up listening to and loving 90s/early 2000s r&b, and they talk about their inspirations being Aaliyah, lauren hill, and many others. So they always wanted this style (shooting star/left right) to be the music they made as a group~

It’s the artist development that we’ve been missing. The music industry hasn’t been developing their acts like they used to. That’s why they look so good, they’ve been training for years

To comment on your point about a new member joining (I'm assuming Hikaru from Kep1er cuz that's the rumor) it's not confirmed yet, but she trained with them (you actually see her in XTRA XTRA, their docuseries on youtube. Highly recommend). I personally think the group is too well established atp that they might not put her in. Another reason would be that "fans" tend to spew hate to late additions to groups. I think she would definitely be another highly impressive member added to the team, she's very talented and I, personally would welcome the idea. But out of concern, I kinda hope she finds success in a different group (or possibly as a soloist). As a separate comment tho, XG is probably one of the best gg I've seen ever, internationally. They have every skill covered by multiple, if not all members. They literally dance like one (their moves are so sharp/clean/in sync its genuinely insane), but each of them still have personality. I really hope they keep gaining popularity, especially in the west because most ggs over here are nowhere near this in dancing/stage presence/etc. (No hate to any of them tho) so it would bring something new and exciting that I feel like western music really needs rn.

5:44 preach. Gotta admit to that. Tippy toes and Mascara were good introductory songs and performance but never caught my eye, just like SNSD's 'ITNW' and 'Girl's Generation' songs. 'Gee' didn't even catch my attention but 'Genie' did. Same goes with XG when I found out about 'Left Right'. Then, I went down the rabbit hole from Shooting Star to their live stage performances 🥰 The rest is history and I can't wait for their mini-album!!

XG actually did know Shooting Star was coming for a while. They gave a choreo spoiler for it while promoting Mascara without saying a word about it

#XG just makes me so unimpressed by any other GG within their generation and or currently. All them other GGs got to catch up - if they can 💗. The thing though is, XG is like no other. Literally giving me chills thinking about it. LONG BUT A GOOD READ💖: Literally the XX Documentary (Xtra Xtra) just shows how they grew with each other in an age and time where most females have ISSUES with other members or groups or JEALOUSLY. Simon and Staff (SS) have Xcelled in being present and available to these girls. Setting xamples, guiding, and believing in their mission. XG members allowing themselves to trust adults who want them to Xceed all Xpectations. XG goes beyond SELF-desires and needs and are ONE, putting each other first. Their ability to have such presence, charisma, emotion, power, and their love for what they need to achieve together, is on another level. XG will forever be the epitome of what Groups/GG only aim to achieve, flawless Xecution. Japan, I am so proud of you allowing us to witness your unity in these girls and what they dance and voice for. It’s to be different in every way, but to be one and the same, and share that love globally. #XPOP is here, and I’m thankful that #KPOP and #JPOP has paved a way in allowing this to come to fruition. 🙇🏻 Also the formation, coloring, placements of the girls and their hair/clothes, just again (thanks to SS), XG Level ( #XGL ). Hikaru is a great dancer so I'm sure she could slip right in with XG especially since she was training with them but it's not super clear where she'll be going after Kep1er. All uncertainty aside tho, XG is definitely a force to be reckoned with ❤

Hikaru of Kep1er went through the training camp in Japan and Korea with XG. It's not confirmed if she will join them or not, that's up to Hikaru and XG/Simon. She would be an asset but I don't think they need her. Hikaru's contract with Kep1er will end and then it will be time for her to decide what to do. However based on watching the documentary it seems that Hikaru had a very close relationship with all 7 members of XG. So if they invited her I doubt she would decline it as XG is the group that she initially trained to join.
