It's remarkable how many people think Daigo didn't for one second play this game seriously. If you're in a competitive forum you play to be the best and win. Bottomline. Daigo has been saying the same speel for Alpha, GG, TS and even SF4 then went back to say he'll be undisputed again in SF4 and lost. And all the fans eat it up, lmao.

Daigo and Kokujin are legends were I'm from.

This isnt Daigo's best game but he is still very damn good at it, he won SBO, came close second at Evo where he outplayed K.O in a lot of the matches, its not his passion but hes damn good at this game. And the parry system does not make every character have the "same answer" thats a misconception.

you know, i got that part wrong about what he said at sbo when he won with nuki. he was referring to how easy it was winning sbo because nuki pretty much carried the team. he wasnt talking about how easy it was beating KO at the finals.

This means Daigo sometimes have problems dealing with Kokujin's setups, while Daigo is better prepared for turtle style players like JWong. Which almost makes them a rock-paper-scissors type matchup, one beats the other. Usually. =P

There's a difference between turtling and being defensive. If you're not defensive, you lose in Third Strike, because it's a highly defense oriented game. That's just the way it is.

daigo doesnt play 3s, but when he did he was one of the best. he is an SBO winner for pete sake. destroying KO in the finals, no projectiles were needed. some of the best ever 3s players dont even have this title, yet they've competed in alot more SBOs'

Ya, we can't really say that Daigo got "owned" now can we? I mean, even still he lost, it seemed a pretty even battle where anything was possible until the end. That is, I couldn't even figure out how it might end until it actually happened. I think Daigo can beat Kokujin if he just tries harder or figure out his tactics first.

kokujin's my fav. I'm glad he trash talked Daigo, who is really not a god at all. his best years were 2003/2004, when the competition was still growing. he'd get eaten alive by 3rd strike players now. he's only really famous because of the wong parry at evo. players like hayao and RX parry chun li SA2 and barrages of akuma combos and win with no recognition. and if daigo said that about KO, then some one has "no dignity." And it's not Kokujin.
