The song's called "X Vs. Zero" for a reason. Seriously, I'm glad that Capcom remembered the Maverick Hunters and their theme, but was it too hard to leave Rocket out of the battle?

@@maxrichards3881 Actually, X has defeated Zero multiple times on his own. This wouldn't be any different, he even defeated him when he was in his "awakened Zero" form all on his own. And as powerful as X has become, it's safe to assume he could've handled Zero on his own. Without Rockets help.

They totally should go the KoF14 route and give certain characters Destined Battle themes like Terry vs. Geese or Kyo vs. Iori X and Zero have this Iron Man and Cap has Cap's old theme Thanos and Gamora have his old theme like Ziggy said above me. As a nice nod, X vs. Ryu should have Armored Armadillo's theme cause you get the Hadouken there in X1.

That would actually feel great. Then the pressure of stopping Knowmoon would be even heavier on them, though I suppose you have the question of what is everyone else doing while X fights Zero?

Nevflinn What if Zero had recruited new mavericks to defend him on Knowmoon? It would add some tension to finding Zero, and there would be enough mavericks to spice things up for everyone else. X would face Zero once again, perhaps with Strider or Gamora instead of Rocket, but that's just my preference, and fight him until Zero finally snapped out of it. By then it would be too late. Knowmoon would crash, and the only chance they have is to return to Stark Tower and use the Infinity Stones. It would destroy the base, but not before the Sigma Virus is released. Everyone would be infected, all except X, who was built to withstand it, and had 100 years to perfect his systems. It would once again be up to X, but he'd need some help from the others to reach Xgard, and he would need a weapon to rival the Space and Time stones. Enter Dr. Light and Stark, who had been working on a new buster for X, the Infinity Buster.

That would have been good. They could even throw in some Maverick enemies to fight if they wanted to keep the others busy, or make Zero that much harder like they did Nemesis. Maybe if Capcom release an Ultimate edition, they could revamp story mode a little too?

You guys would have done a better job than the actual story writers!

I was dying. I was a little disappointed with how Zero ended up playing the damsel in distress (outside of taking down the symbiotie). But X really stole the show. I was actually hoping, from the start of story mode, that him and Iron Man would team up for something big, something to rival ultronsigma. Maybe Iron Man will whip up an Armor for X in the future story? (Seeing it was a cliff hanger)

Ver Ke X is going to be OP good. I think all X needs now in this game is. 1 New seperate move while charge cancellable from normals like Zero and with no followups. 2 Chargable Special moves during Armor utilizing Mobile charge release at early frames of Special Weapon command. 3 4 More special weapons. One for D,D+K, 3 in the air for d,db,b+P.....d,df,b+K and d,df,f+K. Preferably X8 Squeeze Bomb (X8), Tri-Thunder x5 in air (Like Doom finger beams), Homing Sniper.. a homing missile attack from X7 like Arthur's homing arrow in air and Maybe something interesting like Meteor Rain or Ray Arrow from X6. Also if they can, throw in Lightning Web X4 in for free. that move is too cool to pass in an X moveset.

No. His maverick form would be for him to Awaken and gain his memories back. Here Zero was just temporarily reprogrammed. BUT he should've Awakened here seeing as how they're on a giant space thing like the Eurasia in X5 and it's filled with the virus just like X5..... but then again the core is what held the virus in MvC so it's understandable as to how he didnt Awaken. I'm disappointed in the 31 so called fans that actually liked the idea thinking he "Was basically in maverick form" Zero fans that do no research. smfh.

Inafune has always made it clear he preferred Zero over X since it's his design.

Its been known for awhile that the x series wasn't originally even supposed to star x and instead was supposed to be about zero which is why most of the games' story focuses on him. Its because of Capcom that we even have x as a character to begin with actually.

Inafune is the reason why Mega Man games existed in the first place. His leaving is the reason why Mega Man is dead. Clearly, he cares a hell of a lot more about Mega Man than Capcom does.

I agree. For those who know the true stories behind Mega Man. Innafune went as further to try and kill X at the hands of Zero first in MMZ series, which was denied by Capcom and they used Copy X instead. The 2nd time... he tried to Dontify X by giving him a horrible design in a FPS... but glad he left before it and the game never came out... oh did I mention he was gonna have X killed at the hands of Zero in the end of the FPS series.

Probably to capture the feeling and sorrow X and Zero has about fighting each other. The actual fight in this game is actually paced slowly even though its a fighting game. Not really a lot of back and forth like in the Mega Man X boss fights.

Monkerr possible to avoid copy right as much as possible from everyone else making other remixes of this song while retaining its original vibe. Still awesome.

Its slow because its in a fighting game. In the mega man games you can jump over attacks and can manoeuvre very quickly, it's fast in mega man because of the games' fast nature, while in MvC, your manoeuvrability is reduced, and you move slower, sure you can dash, but its not like mega man and you need to rely on Guarding a lot in fights, especially in Zero's fight, giving the theme a slow tempo.
