Everyone thought that West Bengal gonna be the crucial part of India after independence, but in reality. Dirty politics, non-revolutionary destroyed us. Downfall started from 1960's. This is the reason why West Bengal become unsuccessful in India's GDP growth. Maharashtra, Gujarat, Uttarpradesh leading the list right now. Dhaka’s progress in the last 10 years has been exceptional. But what Bangladesh lacks is diversifying its economy. There are vast differences between Dhaka, Chittagong vs other regions of BD in terms of GDP and Economy growth. Bangladesh govt. needs to work on that.
