I started watching OG yugioh with my gf (shes never watched the anime or played the game so im sharing my childhood with her lol) and I spent the entire Para/Dox duel talking about just how bad Gate Guardian is and 2 weeks later she gets a text “THEY MADE GATE GUARDIAN GOOD” 😂

I can understand the gate guardian combined not being as OP as people wanted. I'm willing to bet they decided to make an effect that can be used three times per turn and then decided on what it's effect would be to balance it out. Also love the anime references in the cards like Wake up your elemental hero being reference to the Japanese theme

In my opinion, my favorite card from this set is Gate Guardians Combined. It’s definitely what the original Gate Guardian should’ve been. And the fact that one of its effects special summons, the original Gate Guardian is really good. It’s a nice way of Konami addressing cards that have been so obsolete for over 20 years to finally be playable in today’s game. Plus the other gate guardian fusions add so much more to the game as well.

My favorite card in the set is Accel Synchro Stardust Dragon, I’ve loved Stardust Dragon and the whole archetype of cards around it ever since I watched 5D’s in middle school. I’m so excited that it’s getting some more support and I’ll definitely be picking up a copy as soon as I can!

i was surprise with this set 'cause the new suports of Gate Guardian, a old skull archetype with new cards is nice for the old guys in the game or the anime. Firewall Dragon Darkfluid is marvelous, i wish one of this in this set.

The new gate guardian support is amazing, specifically gate guardians combined. It's nice to see that Konami has given such an iconic monster a retrain considering it was in the OG anime and GX.

I was waiting for this set! I don't know if the new BLS or Gate guardian are my favorite new cards, but what I know is that Guardian Chimera and Baronne de Fleur are picks for me, they've been so expensive for a long time! I regret a lot missing on Chimera when it was cheap 😅

Love the new Gate Guardian support in this new set. Favorite card has to be Guardian Chimera though. Been playing Branded Despia in Master Duel and that card is an absolute beast in that deck.

Wake up hero is insane. Dpe + wake up can otk just the 2. Attack with wakeup and burn, repeat if possible, dpe pop wake up, summon shadow mist/stratos, attack with dpe, activate mask change/honest neos, attack again

Tbh the last thing Yugioh related I bought was one of the booster boxes for 5Ds and that was when I was middle school lol. I've always been a dragon fan so anything Red-Eyes Black Dragon or Blue-Eyes White Dragon is ALWAYS up my alley so that Red-Eyes Soul is definitely catching my eye!

Those gate guardian though and its an actual fusion card. The fact that they reprinted cards i can still remember is insane like the shadow ghoul i still have that old version of it. Yep this screams for people who are OG and wants to relive the dream of old yugioh cards coming back with a banger and yes i'll be getting this. Since i never win these prizes but its cool i'll leave it to someone who can't afford the box set.
