Mine was king of monsters. But it was still to dark, kong skull island though is for sure 2nd place though i enjoy the movies when the fights take place during the day over night.

28:58 - “His tongue got accuracy.” He’s not the only one. Hey-o! 33:23 - “White women always want to pet something. … The bigger, the quicker they want to pet it.” Yeah we do! Okay, but seriously: The way I remember it (and I could be wrong) the whole “Monsterverse” concept was kept under wraps when this movie came out, or at least it was kept out of the ads, which made the post-credits scene go so much harder. It was like, “oh, you thought you were just watching some fun one-off movie… well surprise! Shared universe, baby!”

I love this Kong movie. I think they did an incredible job and they didn't even cheese it up by making him go ice skating. This is the way Kong should be. In other words badass!

Almost the whole main cast are in Marvel stuff, even Shea Wigham. He was in Agent Carter. I don't think John Goodman was in the MCU. Also, the biggest revelation to me was learning Blank is actually two people.

Note: The old guy did not show up for no reason. John C. Reiley's character is the the young soldier fighting in the beginning of the movie, when we first meet Kong. He and the young Japanese soldier become the best of friends, and his role was integral in getting them back home. Great reaction as always. 👍👍🔥🔥

The casting department killed it in this movie, they got father and son from Step Brothers, Eazy E and Dr Dre, Loki, Captain Marvel, Nick Fury, Braga and the FBI agent from fast and furious 4. This is a crazy cast. Oh and John Goodman too. I’m sure I’m missing a couple people too.

Top 3 Kong movies, this movie is great! other two are 1933 and 1975 versions, I saw King Kong escapes in 1967 at the theater, Kong fought a mechanical robot Kong , it was awesome for a grade schooler like me, thanks again!

First time catching one so early:D Love Kong. Also, I know you've said to keep suggestions coming so I have a few;p more Peter Weller (Robocop) movies. Some of my favorites: Leviathan, of unknown origin, firstborn(has young Corey Haim, Sarah Jessica Parker, and Robert Downy Jr.) And maybe more suited for the cocaine cabinet, Naked Lunch (based on the novel by William S Burroughs and written and directed by David Cronenberg... nuff said;p) and Buckaroo banzai across the 8th dimension (also features Jeff Goldblum) I come in peace (released under the alternative title Dark Angel) 90's action sci fi featuring Dolph Lundgren( Rocky IV) Hunch back of Notre-dame, Pocahontas, Wreck it Ralph. Think he'd have fun with these.

JL, I confess. I'm a white woman who pets every animal I see...dog, cat, bird, horse, cow etc. A lifetime of animal rescues & I've never been bitten (although a Pomeranian with fear aggression almost got me). I know when I can swoop down upon them with hugs & affection & when to exercise caution. And I feel blessed to have a knack for getting the most terrified to trust me when everyone else has given up on them. Two-sided sword though. It can be beautiful or sometimes a heartbreaking situation. But I'm glad I've always had that immediate reaction to all animals. I love them all. Oh this my movie right here...everything was all good till that tree came flying through the air. 😂 Also if you think about it... you have SIX actors in this movie that has starred in a MCU film. John C. Reilly was in Guardians of the Galaxy, Brie Larson as Captain Marvel, Corey Hawkins was in Iron Man 3, Samuel L Jackson as Nick Fury, Tom Hiddelston as Loki, and Terry Notary who played Cull Obsidian in Avengers: Infinity War and Endgame.

Even though Godzilla is my favorite titan, I enjoyed this movie the most. Seeing Kong in action on his island was the best. King of Monsters is great too. Get ready for some crazy action sequences.

In my opinion, Kong: Skull Island is the best actual movie of the Legendary Monsterverse to date. Is it my favorite? No, Godzilla: King of the Monsters is my favorite, but I personally argue Skull Island not only is the best actual film of the series, but also has the strongest human story. All of the movies are enjoyable and live up the fun I remember from the kaiju movies I grew up with. I look forward to the reactions of the remainder of the series because they are all great in their own way.
