Skar King didn't consider using shimo as cowardly or unfair, because he didn't consider her a living individual. To him, she was nothing but an object and an extension of his own power, so by using her, he demonstrates his TRUE STRENGTH. He's that delusional with grandeur.

Kong Skull Island is set in 1973. That’s why Brie Larson and Tom Hiddleston weren’t in the following movies as they were set in present day

Skar vs Kong is Agility vs Strength I liked it. They made Skar rely on shimo to much though. Someone told me the novelisation confirms he was stronger back then but I dunno if its true.

That being said I still don't know if Kong could take Godzilla. He could put the hurt on him, but I think end of the day Godzillas just too tanks. He's like Rocky Marciano.
