計画地は大阪府内の旧家で、母屋の建て替え計画です。
門や蔵を備えた敷地は300坪ほどあり、戦前から残る正門は昭和初期の佇まいを残します。
広い敷地を十分に活かすため、「H型プラン」を提案しました。
北棟と南棟が距離をとり、動線部のみで繋がるこのプランなら、全ての部屋に光と風を届けることができます。
北棟には水廻りや来客スペースを、南棟には広い庭とつながるプラベートな空間を配置。中央にLDK、左右に主寝室と子供部屋という並びです。
くびれた部分にあるエントランスは、すぐ前まで車で寄り付け、かつ明るいのです。
コンクリート打ち放しの美しさを最大に引き出すよう、必要以上に手数を掛けないようにしています。形態こそ違え、漆喰や瓦といった素材の美しさを引き出す日本家屋と、本質的には同じだと思っています。
元の母屋は日本家屋だったが、軒の深さは踏襲した。それが夏の日を射防ぎ、風景を切り取ってくれるでしょう。
庭にもほぼ手をつけていません。先祖に感謝し、住み継いできた環境と共に生きる。そんな、健気な住宅を目指したのです。
旧家と言われるご家族の住宅を何件か設計させて貰いましたが、根底に流れるのは「住み継ぐ」という意識だと感じます。
ここで暮らすのは、ご夫妻と小さなお子さんだが、二代、三代と暮らして貰えるでしょうか。
頑丈な躯体と、単純明快なプランは、100年という時間を見据えたものなのです。
1996年、25歳の時に生まれ育った大阪に設計事務所を設立しましした。関西を中心に、注文住宅、クリニック、店舗、オフィス、保育園と、直接依頼頂いたクライアントに約100件の作品を持たせて頂きました。
形態も新築、リノベーション、コンバージョンと様々。 物づくりの現場より面白い所を私は知りません。
住まい手の夢をかなえるのが、建築家の役目だと思っています。

I'm Moritani from Atelier m, an architect and first-class office in Osaka.
This is a room tour of the "H-shaped plan one-story house", a concrete-floored residence in the urban area of Osaka. The video will take you on a tour of the residence where life has begun.

The project site is an old house in Osaka Prefecture, and the main house is to be rebuilt.
The main gate, which has been in place since before World War II, retains the appearance of the early Showa period.
In order to fully utilize the large site, we proposed an "H-shaped plan".
The north and south wings are separated from each other and connected only by a traffic line, allowing light and wind to reach every room.
The north wing is used for water and visitor spaces, while the south wing is used for private spaces connected to the large garden. The LDK is in the center, with the master bedroom and children's rooms on either side.
The entrance, located in the narrow part of the building, is bright and easy to drive up to.
In order to maximize the beauty of the fair-faced concrete, I tried not to do more than necessary.
I think it is essentially the same as a Japanese house that brings out the beauty of materials such as plaster and tiles, although the form is different.
The original main house was a Japanese house, but the depth of the eaves was retained. This will prevent the summer sun from shining on the house and cut the landscape.
The garden is almost untouched. We are grateful to our ancestors and live with the environment we have inherited. We aimed to create such a healthy house.
I have designed several houses for old families, and I feel that at the root of all of them is a sense of "living on".
The couple and their small child live here, but I wonder if they will be able to live here for two or three generations.
The sturdy frame and simple, clear plan are designed to last for 100 years.
In 1996, at the age of 25, I established a design office in Osaka, where I was born and raised. I have worked on about 100 projects for direct clients in the Kansai area, including custom homes, clinics, stores, offices, and nurseries.I don't know of any place more interesting than the field of manufacturing.
