Finally!!! Also there's so much details the anime skipped over in the LN which explains why Kazuma suddenly became a menace this episode. His biggest strength lies in the fact that he has the weakest, most basic job class, ie, Adventurer. This allows him to pick up all kinds of skills all across the board. Advanced job classes can't do that. Eg: A SwordMaster can only learn sword skills, an Archer can only learn archery skills, an Arch Mage can only learn offensive magic, a Thief can only learn thief skills etc. But Kazuma can learn them all, even skills meant only for Undead creatures like Drain touch. That's what makes him a problem, his versatility. Direct quote from the LN, "he may not be a master of any, but he is a Jack of all trades". And when he actually gets serious for once and actually uses his brains along with all these skills he becomes a menace. This raid was even more epic in the LN. Kazuma was also combining Earth and wind magic to create literal pocket sand to blind his enemies, used his high luck stat with his archery accuracy to flip around 180 degree while jumping and shooting an arrow to shatter the magic staff of the other Mage bodyguard of Iris. Everyone was mad impressed and outright scared of him. And his defeat of Mitsurugi was even more brutal. Man not only waterboarded the poor guy, but again froze all the water down his throat and nostrils and almost killed him.

It has been stated, by the author apparently, had Kazuma gone solo from the start, even without a gift, he would've defeated the demon king in 6 months

It was never completely explained, but the princess iris is actually REALLY strong... Cause in this world the food you eat also gives you EXP... So royalty always eats the most delicious and EXP heavy food, she also trains quite a bit... So she is really not weak. But she really was in kazuma's weak body during that back alley brawl... Also a lot of the initial strength of darkness was also from the food she ate as a kid since she is also a rich noble though a more frugal one due to her familys actual decent standing.

I said it back when you watched the first season too... But the first season skipped both meeting Wiz and also skipped the chapter from the novel when kazuma switches parties and shows us what he really can do when not being dragged down by the grlz... Dust was speaking about how kazuma was so blessed not having to put any effort because his high ranking party members did all the work and he just stayed a weak as# adventurer low level class... Kazuma heard it and got angry... So they both traded places in their parties. By the end of the chapter Dust's party 2 dudes and a girl Loved kazuma and wanted to keep him as their leader because Kazuma was the best leader they ever had. While adventurer they came across a Rookie killer, a giant wolf that used a small group of goblins which are weak monsters, as bait to reign in low level adventurers and then ate them. When these guys fell into the trap Kazuma came in clutch and single handedly used his measly create water/wind/earth and freeze to keep the monster at bay and not just that he actually managed to push it back. After the rest of the group followed his instructions thet ended up making the rookie killer run away from them instead. Meanwhile Dust came back dragging our girls to the guild yelling about how useless they were. He came back to trade parties back buT they did not want kazuma to leave. Dust started crying before actually acknowledging he was the only one who could handle the girls and much to the dismay of Dust's party, they had to let him go. Btw... Dust and one of his party members are the ones who introduced Kazuma to the Succubus place. That is why they were friendly with him... And the girl from the party was also there for kazuma's trial, but she had no dialog.

Its funny, that despite Kazuma having preferences for older women, he ends up having the most romantic action with flat Megumin.

Iris knows so well kazuma after these few days... She could see kazuma was about to mess up and say to everyone he was the thief... So she redirected to the silver haired thief so that kazuma would shut up instead... She was saving him in frin of the whole royal court.

This is why I ship Kazuma and Cris more. The tagteam is magnificent! Their Luck stat combined is Godmode.

So after this episode I really think Kaz is clear of any bad intentions with Iris. I think they are pretty sweet actually. Iris has a crush on a rough older boy and Kaz sees a precious little sister type. Obviously the ring complicates things. Megumin was cute this episode too she showed her love chunibyo and other delusions fawning over the thief and beefing with Iris over her calling Kaz Onii sama. ANYWAY I loveeeed seeing Kaz just murk every body. Even had attempted murder on Mitzurugi, One of my favorite episodes of Konosuba

Kazuma stealing the ring wasn't intentional. He used steal with Chris to enhance their chances of getting the necklace. If anything, I'd say it shows his intentions weren't corrupt here since he didn't end up with Iris' panties. If he really wanted them, he would have gotten them.

The abime skipped the most badd ass and dangerous moment of Kazuma's fight with kyouya. After waterboarding him, he actually froz the water inside of him from the mouth so his throat and stomach were filled with solid ice instead... Something none of rhe castle healers couldnt do anything about since it was not a wound or ailment so they were in a real hurry trying to save him since... Again as the anime skipped, we know that mitsurugi kyouya is the strongest of the dozens of heroes from earth that are stationed at the castle. He is also the one who has put in the most work at keeping the demon army from conquering the castle. So kazuma's victory iver mitsurugi in fron of the whole castle guard and Iris' guard (whi is a mitsurugi fangirl) was so much more crushing than what the anime made it look... The action was almost all there but the anime framed it in a way that looked way more tame.

Much like Aqua, Kazuma is often too lazy or egotistical and it holds him back a lot. He's often too focused on stuff like grinding against a girl mid-heist or trying to show off so he can live in a luxurious castle. But here? Now? His precious little sister Iris, the cute child who looks up to him despite himself, is the one in trouble. In the worst case scenario, someone might switch bodies with her, then kill her to make the switch permanent. Here, Kazuma's single-minded focus is to save the princess, and we get to see what he can do when he stands on business without the party to weigh him down. Vanir's mask problem helped some, but it's not the biggest reason Kazuma is in top condition, and that's awesome.

Vanir's mask had a lot to do with Kazuma's success go back to the episode in Wiz's store read what Vanir said were the benefits of the mask then look a Kazuma during the fight he's yelling the same things, he's laughing like Vanir and he's savoring negative emotions which is Vanir's forte.
