Im so glad u said this i feel like the desk ruined it for me. a floating desk across the whole wall would have made it much better. since its his house he could drill into the walls

cutting the cat6 cable is very easy, if you have a cable cutter and a special cable/plug connecter tool is like 15 pound very cheap and you just follow a quick tutorial, it is very simple the hardest part is getting the 6 cables in the right order. This is one of the ways i neaten up my cables because i already have 7 ethernet cables to my desk and having them the right length helps a lot

I used to install cat 5/6 cables before. It's actually really simple to do if you have the proper tools.

Cutting a CAT cable is easy KON. You just need the tool to get the new connector on. But other than that its just cutting the cable, getting the 6 smaller cables out and put them in the new connector.

Making Ethernet cables are super easy. Get crimpers and the heads and follow the colors.
