This song is really genius!! It also really disrupts the usual folk Serbian songs. And also highlights the wonderful sound of the Serbian language. I might be not really objective as I love Serbia and Serbian, but I hope Eurovision will give her the international success she deserves. Forza Serbia! Hajde Srbija!!!

This play is the purest art. While the lyrics may seem a bit silly at first, they are actually dead serious. The song has so many layers, and a lot of space for different interpretations. Konatrakta herself emphasized the importance of each listener's own interpretation. 1. The song begins with a title from a beauty magazine that Konstrakta once saw: What is the secret of Megan Markle's healthy hair? - This is a reference to the obsession of modern society with beauty; That's what beauty magazines do - they create uncertainty about your hair, skin, nails, weight, etc., and then advertise products that promise to change that. This is what the second line of the song says about "I think the secret is in deep hydration" 2. Then Konstrakta goes on to talk about how our skin and hair often signal some internal health problems - such as liver and spleen problems - The reason he thinks this is because he cares about his health, he can't visit a doctor for an examination or treatment because there is no insurance. THIS IS SUPER IMPORTANT because artists in Serbia still do not have health insurance. This is a paradox because Serbia, like many other countries, has "universal health care" which is not really available to everyone. 3. Then he goes on to say that an artist must be healthy as well - he refers to Marina Abramović (Art is beautiful, an artist must be beautiful), and the reason why he should be healthy is again - because he cannot afford to be treated . 4. Then comes the part about the autonomic nervous system and how we should not control our own heartbeat. She describes a beautiful summer day, wakes up her dog, her heart beats and that's it - she doesn't need better. She just trusts her heart and lungs hoping he won't let her down (if he betrays her then it is, the doctors won't help her and she came to terms with it) 5. She then explicitly says I DO NOT HAVE A CARD (meaning health insurance card) 6. She wonders how he will help her then? While she wonders if we hear the backing vocals repeating the phrase God of health - God bless you. This is a reference to Serbian culture in which health is considered the most important part of life. God give us health is a common saying, we use it all the time, and you will always hear how people wish others good health (for a birthday, or indeed any holiday) because everything else (money, fame, love ...) becomes meaningless if you are sick and you get sick. This is again a paradox - in a society that nominally considers health to be sacred, it still does not have health insurance. She says - (female) artist is invisible, you can't see me, it's magic. 7. The final part is probably the most important. It is basically a game of the old Latin saying Mens sana in corpore sano (Healthy spirit in a healthy body), except that Konstrakta makes it clear that only the body is healthy - the soul inside is desperate to comment on our own reality. , we are all obsessed with improving our health - we try to eat better, be more active, take all these expensive drugs and supplements - but what about our mind? Often our mind needs care, not our body. And finally, after she clarified that, she asks us - So what do we do now? And now about hand washing: she is dressed in white, symbolizes the health system (reminds us of a nurse for example) and washes her hands. Why? Because of the covid? NOT! It is a metaphor about how healthcare professionals should "wash their hands", which means that their conscience is clear when they refuse to treat you because you do not have insurance. Just like when Pontius Pilate washed his hands before the crucifixion of Jesus - he tried to clear his conscience and make it clear that he was not the one who killed Jesus - it was the Law. In the same way, the doctor refuses to treat you because of the law and needs to come to terms with the fact that you may die even though he could (and would) help you. Hand washing could also be seen as a reference to Marina Abramović's play Balkan Baroque, in which she spent days trying to wash blood and meat from cow bones - she did not, of course, succeed and that was the point - no matter how hard they tried, they will continue to be bloody bones (in this context, blood on bones symbolized the shame of the Yugoslav wars, and in the performance of Konatrakte the health system tries to wash away its responsibility to make people literally die because of some stupid paperwork and administration - but of course ).

Serbian entry: A young woman, in her 40s, mother of two, with an actual University degree (Architecture) gets on the stage, blows everyone's mind, all while fully dressed and just sitting and washing hands. Empress. From the song start till the end, all eyes are on her. And on top of that performance her song carries incredibly strong message about overwhelming "health" information every woman reads in magazines, promoted by celebrities and impact on one's mental health. She replicates compulsive behavior of all humanity: "Be healthy, be healthy, be healthy, be healthy..." and in the song finale twists famous Latin proverb pointing to a conclusion: "When your body becomes healthy, what about your mental health?" All those magazines bring readers in a state of "health" paranoia, while your mind becomes sick, sad, desperate and frightened. Truly a masterpiece. Song has so many layers that you can analyze for hours, from reverse Latin start, to powerful Latin ending, all packed in perfect theatrical delivery. This song is simply beyond Eurovision. It belongs in a museum. This is an excellent song analysis for those who don't immediately see the power of this song: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/ocWUoKln3a6yYas.html&ab_channel=OverthinkingIt

Neee.

@@GianniBravoSka Pontius Pilate washed his hands before the multitude, saying, I am innocent of the blood of this just person'. This was to show the crowd he did not want Jesus dead, but ordered his death because that is what the people wanted. He was washing his hands of the responsibility. Whole stage is a metaphor. She represents health system washing hands of responsibility for artist without health insurance. Mens sana in corpore sano (A sound mind in a sound body). The point artist is trying to make is that news media write and talk about health, supplements, diet, beauty, exercising... Meghan Markle was mentioned because in media there was an article about most important issue for the survival of life on our planet, her hair. According to media, woman has to be beautiful, artist has to be beautiful and healthy otherwise can not succeed. And artist asks: What about "Mens sana" part? Media do not care about state of mind, peoples spirit, mental health. To the contrary. Fake news, all sorts of lies (Serbians are especially sensitive because they were and still are victims of media warfare for over three decades) are there to make us total idiots, ignorant about what really is happening around us, spreading belief that nuclear war can be won or that Putin is going to back down if enough pressure he is under, unaware of how close we are of destroying our home, Earth. Read lyrics carefully several times, and pay attention to lyrics at the end: "A sick mind in a healthy body A sad soul in a healthy body A desperate mind in a healthy body A terrified mind in a healthy body" Celebrities look beautiful and healthy and than, unexpectedly, they commit a suicide. Whitney Houston, Robin Williams...

This should be taken as a whole, as a performance, not just as a music number. It is actually a pure artistic theatrical monodrama in four acts packed in just 3 minutes. The vocals fit perfectly into a fantastically arranged musical matrix around a hypnotic rhythm that mimics the heartbeat (pay attention to all the details). The live broadcast of the stage performance was excellently directed and performed on a world level. All together, enough to be a masterpiece, even in the selection of the famous theater festival in Edinburgh. And the story is as follows. (To better understand, turn on subtitles/cc). Intro - EVERYTHING IS UPSIDE DOWN A modified Latin saying: a sick mind in a healthy body was read backwards. Act one - ROUTINE We waste time following celebrities and other people's lives, we make diagnoses ourselves, discuss about them and other nonsense through the social networks (what is the secret of Megan Markle's healthy hair?). It is opsesion with outfit аnd it`s compared to health. Deeper, it becomes normal, and in fact dictated behavior that the "system" encourages (chorus: "what is the secret?") as healthy behavior, although it is meaningless (dark circles have to do with ...). So, expectation is that artress also must be part of this "normal behaviours" (MUST be healthy). Act two - LONELINESS We are now part of this routines, some system control our fundamental functions (heart ticking and breathing), we are alive, in virtual world and it's OK. But we are alone. No children, no friends, just a dog as a companion and synonym for those who living alone in the cities. We are walking satisfied but without sense, with empty mind (counting steps, and that's all). Verse "dog and I", on Serbian "pas i ja", have another meaning too. when it says fast as one word, become "pasija" - the Passion. In this case, loneliness compares with the Passion of Christ, who was left to himself on his way to Golgotha to count his steps. Act three - COGNITION *"Nemam knjižicu" means "I don't have a booklet". This is actually a question and it is not a Health Insurance as it`s translated, it is not mentioned, but it is a symbol of belonging to a system or organization; health system, political party, social club, library... All of them have all the information about us and are constantly "watching" us, offering products, monitoring our work on the networks, giving guidelines on what to do ... * What if I am not a member? If I'm out of system? We will lost our followers, others will not monitor us anymore (what is normal, healthy), nobody will "care" about us, or organize our life (what is normal, healthy), and artress become invisible when she is out of system. Act four - WAKING UP The absence of system influence artress see like a magic, becouse it means independence, so she CAN be healthy, with open mind, according to Latin saying "men sana in corpore sano" (healthy mind in healthy body). Can be, can be, can be. conclusion - WHAT'S ABOUT MIND? Everything is about body condition (corpore sano, corpore sano, corpus is sano - and body is healthy), but no one talks about the state of mind. So, she mentions those states of mind and ask: And what shell we do? And finally, the messages from the stage and the video. When health is mentioned, "people in black" show that their "hands are clean", and at the same time, turning palms shows that something is not normal, and at the background we can see mutations of the coronavirus formed by hands. We need to be washed constantly, to be clean. Our mind same as our body. Either others will wash our mind for their own needs or we have to wash it from other influences. Again and again... In the same time the "system" washes its hands of responsibility, like Pontius Pilate in washbowl. So, regardless of the placement, her performance is a victory because a strong, well-packaged message was placed to the world.

The meaning of the song is very deep: There are several messages: 1. In the time of COVID everybody is brainwashed that they have to do this, that,to stay physically healthy…. And what about mental health after all that? 2. She wears a medical uniform and washes her hands: this is how she describes medical person when someone without a health card comes for treatment ( they wash their hands of that person, it doesn’t exist) 3. People who do not have free health care , and they do not have money , can die freely without a guilty conscience 4. The people around her in back looks to me like rippers, just waiting for those who can’t afford treatment 5. The general opinion that one must be beautiful, and in order to be beautiful one must be physically healthy. No once cares about mental health anymore, which is also important 6. She is also like a fortune teller looking at her hands trying to figure out why she is sick and what symptoms does she have cuz she can’t afford health care insurance 7. Artists in Serbia don’t have Heath care insurance and her friend died of cancer because of that 8. Obsession with a healthy body while the mind is desperate sick sad and frightened

This time Serbia sends a powerful message. Did you ever think about hidden messages like OCD(constantly washing hands), rather meaningless news articles about health (hair care routine of Meghan Markle), searching for diagnosis on internet(what can cause spots arround your mouth, darck circles arroud eyes),and the obvious one "i don't have health insurance" in country where critical medical help is guaranteed by the law. I am just sad that because of politic influence in Eurovision contest, this song will not win. Even 0 points can be expected because of current state of world. But hope is still here. That at least people will understand the message.

The music was written by Ana Đurić and Milovan Bošković, and the lyrics by Ana Đurić, who performs under the pseudonym Konstrakta. In corpore sano is an excerpt from the saying - men sana In corpore sano, which means healthy spirit in a healthy body, a verse written by the Roman poet Juvenal, born around the sixties of the new era. And this saying is taken from the verse which reads in its entirety - one should pray for a healthy spirit in a healthy body, ie "orandum est ut sit mens sana in corpore sano". In this original song, at the beginning there is a conditional and at the end the main title - "What are we going to do now?", What are we going to do now if we have a healthy body and a sick spirit, because we are not in healthy but sick times. The essence of Ana Đurić's text is the question - what if we are healthy if our mind is sick? She expresses it in the words - "the body is healthy and what will we do now, a weak mind in a healthy body, a sad soul in a healthy body, a desperate mind in a healthy body, a frightened mind in a healthy body" ... rhythm, Ana actually lets out a howl of despair of a modern man who promotes at all costs a healthy body, physics, matter, supplements, drugs, vaccines and constant hand washing, without anyone caring about the spirit that is sick due to the influence of propaganda, forcing false values for the purpose of general deafening. Humanity is healthy, but the spirit of the times is sick - weak, sad, desperate and scared. I read and listened to many comments that explained why this song won. I also voted for her for several reasons, and here are the main ones. It is important to say that I have been following Eurovision regularly. Although there were several misses, almost all the winning songs of that international competition deserved it with their quality, which was confirmed by the court of time. In the great competition, the song by Ana Đurić and Milovan Bošković was a real refreshment, because it exuded sincerity. The strength of the winning song is that it is not an imitation, but an original whose fuel is a special and unique artistic personality. It affected the audience who recognized it and gave their voice. Comparisons with Marina Abramović and her performances are completely wrong. In these comparisons, perhaps given with the best intentions, the idea of imitation is in fact unfounded. However, the original performance of the Handwashing Contract cannot be questioned by these comments. Washing hands with singing is a great choreographic solution for the title verse of the song - in a healthy body. The song certainly has the features of engaged art, which critically looks at the pandemic of the virus that kept the whole world in prison for two years in the form of satire. Hand washing symbolizes not only something that the health authorities have constantly recommended, but also alludes to hand washing from the responsibility of those who are guilty of this world scam. Although the text is insufficiently understood, and will not be understood by millions of viewers around the world, hand washing will speak for itself more than a thousand words. Unlike others, Konstrakta performed herself, not some imaginary superstar. The song was composed directly from the heart and is performed from the beginning to the end within the limits of the author's power. She does not strive to sing something she cannot, but within the limits of her power she gives the best she can. That must work, because it is true. As a person pressed by the collective fear that was deliberately propagated in the world for two years, Ana exclaimed - it was enough, what I wanted to say and I didn't. I trust her too. I am sure that, regardless of the malicious criticism that can be heard, this artist will win a high place in a major international competition (if held), and more than anyone so far will present Serbia as a country where people think for themselves. Hand washing as a symbol of cleansing from dirt will be well received not only as a kind of marking the end of the pandemic and all controversies, but also an invitation to start washing hands from all diseases of this world, which is not in the corner and which lacks Juvenile - we should pray for a healthy mind in a healthy body. In the end, I would not like to wash my hands out of Konstrakta's performance at Eurovision, and replace it with something else, on the advice of any so-called marketing team, because that would kill the very essence of the message, which will, regardless of hard-to-understand words I am sure that I will convey a clear message coming from Serbia to millions of viewers, which is that, in fact, without a healthy spirit, there is no healthy body. This is sooooóó good!!! Real art, bravo! There are more than 2-3 different, important topics in the song and even more interpretations. 1. Megan: Rich people/ contrast in lifestyle, "beauty", their artificiallity and us, ordinary people on the other side. 2. Washing hands: in Slavic nations it emphasises how the "authorities/governments" "washing hands" or not taking responsibility for the wellbeing of the ordinary people (water washes everything/every dirt from their hand/authorities hands). 3. Last 2 years & Covid-19 measures, people were locked at home, directed to wash hands/face etc. in order to keep themselves healthy but at the same time them 5 people in dark clothes standing & watching?! These are the authorities. 4. "Let the heart beating..." we are actually left alone, nobody cares about ordinary people. 5. Find a video with English subtitles and read what is she singing in her last 3-4 sentences in Latin!!!! This is actually the finale..." ill/sick mind in the healthy body" = we became unwell/ill because of the restrictions during last few years...the ongoing lockdowns across the planet created so many mental health problems. 6. Now after hearing/ understanding last 3 sentences, go to the beginning and start again... here come the rich people (Megan)... they can be "beautiful" ...bla,bla... but in the end coping them, celebrities makes us all artificial and we lost our mind, ourselves, we gave/sold our souls because of copying various top models and celebrities and wanting to be/look like them. :)

This is sooooóó good!!! Real art, bravo! There are more than 2-3 different, important topics in the song and even more interpretations. It needs listening/ watching 4-5x to understand the metaphorical meaning (this isn't an usual la-la-laa song). 1. Megan: Rich people/ contrast in lifestyle, "beauty" (silicon breasts, botox, artificial teeth etc.), Comparison of their artificiallity and us, ordinary people on the other side. 2. Washing hands: in Slavic nations it emphasises how the "authorities/governments" "washing hands" or not taking responsibility for the wellbeing of the ordinary people (water washes everything/every dirt from their hands/authorities hands). 3. These are the authorities. 4. "Let the heart beating..." we are actually left alone, nobody cares about ordinary people. 5. Them 4-5 people in black, standing, watching, monitoring = the authorities or trends (celebrities from the other side of Atlantic), restricting/limiting us, ordinary people. 6. 7. 4:09 "I don't have social insurance!" Deep lyrics! Deep message! "Artist don't have medical insurance, so it "must" be healthy!" Must?! We are just "washing" our hands off each other, while people still dying somewhere... (while we wear pink glasses?) In what world do we live? This song is a high art satiric masterpiece!

Song looks silly, but there are some hidden messages under those, at first sight, lyrics without any sense. This is a pretty deep critique of modern society, starting from Megan Markle's hair (modern journalism and absurd obsessions with celebrities and every detail of their life), connecting health with appearance, than saying "umetnica mora biti zdrava" which means female artist gotta be healthy ( pointing on importance of appearance of female artists in the world of music, cinema... ), serbian health system ( "nemam knjizicu" which means " I don't have health insurance ", pointing on problem in serbia about artists not having health insurance, also her friend and member of her band died because of that, so that's probably main point of the song), washing hands (sarcastically pointing on corona virus measures), latin part ( which translates "Weak mind in healthy body, Sad soul in healthy body, Desperate mind in healthy body, Terrified mind in healthy bodu, And what we gonna do now?" Pointing also on corona virus and concern for physical health, but at the same time, overall mental health condition of the population has dropped significantly)

"I don't have health insurance", is not on the topic, "In Serbia, artists are not health insured" (In Serbia, all residents have health insurance. Of course, in order to exercise this right, different categories of residents, depending on age, school and work status, exercise this right in different ways.) Konstrakta uses the term "Artist" in her verses. She uses a poetic figure to represent herself in the third person singular. And she says that she is not insured (she will not participate in the general hysteria, in the name of health), and she sarcastically worries about how the system will follow her (in the name of health), how to take care of her (in the name of health). ) because she is invisible to the system (in the name of health) they don't see her, it's magic (in the name of health) And she doesn't need all that because she let her heart just beat and breathe on its own ...

Ma non #ho l assicurazione sanitaria ", ma non importa" devo essere sana, xche artista deve essere sana (AL UMETNICA MORA BITI ZDRAVA! Biti zdarava!). It's not true that everyone has health insurance. Ask unemployed property owners, farmers with a small peace of land and all these who have no or have a very small income and can not afford to pay for the insurance. In order to have right to it, you have to be practically homeless, property less and jobless.
