Key and Minho are a perfect case of “I love you more when we don’t live together.” It happens all the time. My friends hated each other as roommates in college but were best friends once one moved out.

People's expectations from NCT are so ridiculous, not only NCT but like every group out there. Just because you work with someone doesn't mean you have to like them. People are different from each other and a lot of times clash a lot. That's totally fine cause if everyone was the same the world would be a boring place.

Key and Minho are just absolutely polarising personalities, with their everyday gimmicks with Onew being stuck in between, Taemin being lost and helpless, and Jonghyun internally panicking. I love them ALL so dearly........

For NCT, all i can say is being 23 grown men with different personalities,it's really amazing how they still manage it. There are conflicts even in a small group and Taeyong handling 22 guys is amazing. He learns language for the foreign members so he can communicate with them,he puts so much effort and I'm really happy that he's the leader. I know he's not the leader alone but whenever NCT ot23 happens,other leaders get a rest. They feel relieved because Taeyong is there,he's an amazing leader. Also he has his left hand and right hand Johnny and Doyoung,who are always there for him when he's too tired or can't be there for the members,I still remember Doyoung protecting Dreamies when they were minors. Kun is really good too,he's responsible,caring,you name it,he'll do it,he's such a sweetheart and deals with the craziest guys,it's WayV afterall. Mark being DREAM's leader at the age of 16, being one of the youngest leader in Kpop makes me proud,he was dealing with 6 teenagers. He's been working hard day and night and is still there for DREAM at the end of the day. They tease him but they also adore him the most. At the end,they all have put efforts to know and get along with each other,that's more than enough. They have respect and admiration for each other. They never said they were close,moreover they were upfront about their relationship with each other by doing Awsaz series and stayed true to us. We don't know them personally but all i can say is they cherish us czennies a lot. I love them the way they are,it's awkward but it's okay.

I love how NCT admit they aren't all close, and when they're all together it really feels like a class at school where you have some groups of friends and some people who barely know each other. It still seems like everyone gets along fine though, no one hates each other, apparently. I think it's really cute how there are some friendships among members of different units, like Yangyang (WayV) and Renjun (Dream), who are extremely close - to the point where Renjun was frenquently seen in WayV's dorm. There's Ten (WayV) and Johnny (127), of course, that are the bestest of friends. And I think it's adorable how some older members like Doyoung and Taeil (127) seem to have adopted some Dream members.

Of course, being close with 22 other members is really hard, since separate dorms, separate units, and just really busy schedule. It'd make sense for them to be really close with the members in their unit and close with the other members.

NCT is my favourite group but that they aren’t all close makes sense. Ten even said in a podcast interview that when they filmed NCT 2020 he didn’t even recognise some of the members because some of them he hadn’t met in years. I mean they live with their designated units so some of them never meet. He said he is closest with his unit members and some of the NCT rookie guys like Johnny, Jaehyun and Taeyong. Being 23 members is more like a class then a group especially when there is an 8 year age gap between oldest and youngest.

The fact that I found this normal. Like there are bunch of groups who doesn't get along specially when you are in a big group like NCT 🤷

Ahh, yes. SHINee. The epitome of "We started off as a business group, but now I can't imagine a life where I don't have you standing right by my side, being my ultimate support." The relationship that SHINee have with each other now, it didn't simply snap into place the moment they met. They were basically kids when they met, kids who had to man up & shoulder responsibilities even adults can't bear. They *had* to compete against one another, otherwise they'd have drowned under crushing waves. It's only natural that tensions were high during the first 4 years SHINee had to live together. But, just as Kibum stated, when they got to live separately, their relationship grew stronger than ever before. In his own words, they went from _"disaster and hell"_ to _"we became best friends forever."_ Which is why its important to maintain some distance when forming new relationships, a little space to breathe, and thats what made SHINee's bond stronger. Another star factor as to why SHINee currently have one of the strongest & most stable relationship in the industry, despite hitting their 14th year anniversary, is that they were always, always, *honest* & *respectful* to each other. Just look at Minho & Kibum. They are as different as is humanly possible, from hobbies to characteristics to personalities, but they compliment each other so well. one of my fave things about loona is how they never truly forced their relationships with skinship and fanservice, it took years for them to achieve the sisterly bond they have now. of course at fansigns and on broadcasts they're probably encouraged to do all that stuff like other groups, but in their own content, you can tell they have a really sweet bond where most of the love comes from teasing and joking around, it's kind of like watching 12 siblings bicker and mess around without direction. every time a new girl joined the group, they were always SO. AWKWARD. predebut orbits will know what i mean. it was always like "who's this new girl? wow she's weird." the carol 2.0... let's not talk about it LMFAO. i like how they gradually came to love each other and know each other instead of the company trying to make everyone think they were besties from day one, they didn't even try to hide how awkward they were lol. you can tell how much they've grown close and rely on each other over the years, it feels so much more natural than groups debuting and acting like they're soulmates. they've struggled a ton and to see them laugh around and enjoy each other's company makes me happy as a fan, they're a real cool bunch of girls UwU stan loona and support them on queendom 2 :D

Honestly in Miss A’s case I think that Suzy just sort of fell out of touch with them since the other members obviously spent more time together than with Suzy, so them being more close with each other than Suzy was sort of natural.

I imagine being in an idol group especially with a lot of people is like being in a classroom and being forced to be in a long term group project together. There's gonna be people you get along with well and some you just don't care for but you have to make it work somehow

Loona is so close now it’s funny to look back on how awkward the shy members were with each other 😭 there’s even a clip of Haseul being too shy to show skin ship with Yves around the time they filmed the carol 2.0 (I think). I don’t think there’s any distance between the members, they’re all close and love each other a lot, I think it’s just that the shy members had a hard time getting to know each other at first especially in a group of 12 girls. The thing about NCT is that everybody can get along but they never have the chance to. But these days there are some interesting paring that have recently gotten close because of NCT 2020 & 2021. One is Mark and Xiaojun who don’t hang out as much because there busy schedules but interact a lot on Instagram with each other surprisingly.

One of the reasons I stan SHINee for years, other than their artistry & them as an idol group whose music matches my taste, is actually their friendship and their "transparency" to share how their relationship with each other really is. They're always so real about everything. I remember how Jonghyun confessed on Happy Together back then in 2016 that SHINee started as "business group" and then in some other opportunities SHINee would confess how they didnt get along *THAT* well at first since they're literally 5 different individuals with strong personalities and opinions, that they would argue a lot; because well, it is the reality that we should be aware of to be honest. its very likely that idol groups wouldn't be so close to each other right away (and even for some groups, after some times there are still probably members that dont get along that well outside business). Idols are literally just like us: humans with our own jobs, its just that their job is being an idol and the members are their co-workers in the first place (we dont always befriend our coworkers more than business relationship sometimes, right?). SHINee members' friendship is by far one of the most beautiful I've ever "witnessed". They really went out of their way to understand each other (especially MinKey, the two most "most" different ones in the group), they also always have fun whenever they're together like literally the of them would play whenever there's free time in between rehearsals or break time in schedules. This group that started as "business" has turned into a family; not only between them but also between their families. The fact that each of the members always say that they cant separate makes me want to support them for a long time and cherish their beautiful friendship for as long as i can.

Super Junior are so proud of their fights that they'd rather talk about them on shows than the times they get along, lol. They aren't shy about any of them and are happy to tell the tales over and over. You were right about how they are a group that was thrust together almost randomly, so it would be natural that all the members don't get along all the time and would have different personality clashes. Their most famous fight is the Incheon Battle between Leeteuk and Heechul over a difference between work ethics. And recently on My Little Old Boy, the members were talking about how worried they are because they don't fight much like they used to. It's basically their love language XD. But even the members that didn't used to get along, are just fine now. Siwon and Ryeowook have a pretty solid relationship now, and did a parody using Ryeowook's iconic phrase from that fight.

NCT is unique and diverse group. That"s why I like them. No wonder why they have such a programs to get them on together. Very talented boys. The are different planet which needs discovering a lot.

I’ll never forget learning from SHINee members that Key and Minho didn’t get along because Key wasn’t respectful. Key said the age formalities were not a big deal where he was from so he didn’t think he needed to do anything regarding Minho. Jonghyun when asked where he was when all of the arguing was going on. He said he was busy trying to take care of himself.

Honestly you never know what happens behind the scenes. With Suju they did everything together, imagine eating, dancing, singing, sleeping, living with the same people for years. The smallest thing could create a fight. They have been together for more than fifteen years and they are still going strong. It was business before but not anymore. They literally understand each other and cherish each other now that they’re older.

I love that NCT can make their own reality show of just forcing their members to interact with each other. The episode with Doyoung and Renjun is still the best because they are my biases from their respective units. They are super similar so I assumed they got along well, but it turned out that they were just equally as awkward as each other lol

Key ey Minho never hated each other. They had one big clash when they were 17, how shocking! and also have polar opposite personalities.

It's very admirable for LOONA, the youngest group in this list, to tell people the truth. LOONA has always been true to themselves. It's embarrassing to say this but I follow them religiously so I know the little things they've done throughout the years considering this is my 5th year stanning them. LOONA's relationship with each other is a very healthy one. They don't force interactions when they can't even make one to begin with. Half of the members are early birds while the others are night owls, its hard for them to even meet each other. The little to no interactions we get with Hyunjin and Olivia Hye back in the day, the very awkward clips between Yves and Haseul, and many other examples, those are a small portion of their genuineness as people. They're now closer than ever so don't worry about it. We're going to get Queendom anyway, so the members will definitely be forced to be around each other a lot more. 😘

Well NCT is a pretty big group with a lot of members. You really cannot expect everyone to be best friends with everyone. Especially that in such a big group, diff kind of personalities pops out as well. Ofc there are some examples of “best friends” in NCT, like for example Chenji or Markhyuck, but every member with every member is not like this, but they all find a way to work with each other, respect each other and even beetwen units there are friendships like Renyang or Kun/Chenle that are close friends, which just shows that NCT after all like each other and for that they do not have to be super close with everyone in the group. The most important things is for them to work with each other, since it’s their work place, not friends reunion lmao

Comparing the comment Key said in 2010 to one of his most recent ones really show how much SHINee changed. This was from an Interview Key had in 2020 "If anyone asks how much I love my members, how close are we, it'd be hard for me to answer. Its like asking how much I love my mother."

what key said is from 2010, and shinee have never mentioned a fist fight. they all shared one room, shared the dorm with suju, tvxq, managers. they were forced to stay inside (except for schedules). they had absolutely no personal space or privacy. they only spoke about two fight. one is the minho key dishes fight, and later when key ate taemin’s blueberries & the other members told him off.

I doubt there is anyone who can say they never have disagreements with the people the love. Its natural to have your own personality and opinions. SHINee is the best example of a group who are family. No other group is as close and supportive as SHINee. Minho and Key give each other a hard time, but if either of them needed something, the other would be there in a heartbeat! Love SHINee forever.

I stan NCT for their honesty tbh. 23 members from different cultures, speaking different languages, with a large age gap, artistic focuses, etc. Of course they're not *all* going to be close and it would be crazy for people to expect them to be. Their schedules are insane and often conflict with each other. Most of them aren't just in one unit/group (SuperM) plus they're acting in dramas, being DJ's, hosting shows, etc. It makes sense for members to be closest with those they went through training with. Or the members that are in their unit/dorm. Like that last reunion they had where they said it was like meeting with distant cousins 😂

knowing Loona (from watching most if not all of their interviews and show) makes you realise how deeply they care for each other. they went through their mbti and learned how different each members is and even if they know it wasnt a full representation of their personalities they still took it as a sign to be more understanding of each other. (they asked questions like do they want to be alone when sad or want to be comforted, and some wants to be alone and some wants to be comforted and from then they adjust how to approach each other especially when they are being sensitive) from their OSEN interview you can see how the quite/ less affectionate members knows the members more such as their allergies and habits. so yep all 12 are just different so the way they show their love and closeness are different. for hyunjin shes even more than a 4D personality so she's awkward and cutely weird so its hard to understand her, but she cares for the members the most although at first it doesnt show, she gets sad if she's being misunderstood cause she doesnt want to get hated by the members. and for gowon she is soft spoken and rarely talks in interviews but she is as talkative as Yeojin when in their dorms/practice rooms.

Loona is a lot closer now especially during their first COVID quarantine like they would talk about how much they miss each other. However, naturally 12 members aren't all going to be best-friends but I would say for the most part Loona are genuinely close to each other compared to a lot of other groups. But, I do think we need to take in account how they were formed since the last 4 members YYXY (Yves, Chuu, Gowon, and Olivia Hye) had an average of 3.5 weeks as trainees total. It was so rushed that it took time for them to get to know each other and close. But Loona is extremely open about their past fights and dislikes. Hyunjin even said she has friends and members. Very similar to what Key said. So she has members she considers like friends super close to and members who are just members but they aren't extremely strangers/co-workers because they have a certain bond that is too close for just co-workers but definitely not close enough for family/best friends.

my first thought when i saw LOONA on here was the time on LOONAtv where they had to pick the members they were closest to and every member was picked except for Jinsoul 😭 then Jinsoul said "i cant pick, i love everybody". Hope it was just a misunderstanding, Jinsoul is so sweet.

Groups who put forward this image of always getting along and being super close all the time are definitely lying. People in general cannot live, work or be together that much without fighting or bickering, even if you genuinely love each other and consider each other as family. It’s nice to see people be honest about their experiences!

Speaking of 4Minute, Jiyoon (Jenyer) is in a trio group called PRSNT and they just released their new mini album called “Crazy Driver.” And Gayoon is starring alongside B.A.P’s Young Jae and AJAX’s Ji Hoo in the newly released film “Sing A Song.”

That's why i love the nct u unit project, they bring up different members from the fixed units to create a newly entire group with new faces even for just a mean time, they're given opportunity to know each other and bond, with variety shows contents to back them up. Then there's also the whole brand project ofcourse almost like an every 1/2 year gathering of every unit specially when a new debut member arrives, and in the end they all do find ways to get closer thats why i love them

though there are people that can get along or even close with a lot of people, there are also people that don’t get along with others so we shouldn’t really be surprised if there are groups (may they be big or small) that won’t get along each other.

It’s good to have multiple different types of friendships. It keeps a person sane knowing what lines not to cross.

hyunjin and gowon are both INT*s, so they are very introverted. they also didn’t get a chance to interact with each other much predebut to loona’s debut as one unit. hyunjin was the first unit and gowon was in the last unit. hyunjin also didn’t visit many girls sets before their debut much, and gowon was one of them. now, they’re closer, and overall, the girls all work together very well and are just one big, cohesive and awesome family.

Minho and Key are now like a married couple like they've said and like soulmate like they've said themself too, they love to be together because Minho love make Key going crazy. Again in the recent episode of "I Live Alone"(Ep434) Minho was at Key's House and they said and show well their relationship and for me it's really one of the best and you can see that this friendship is for life

Idols being forced to stay in the dorms isn't a matter of "productivity". Even if a group will be more productive if they live separately as Key said, the company won't allow that. It's a matter of control, you can monitor the idols on the security cameras in the dorm 24/7 to know their whereabouts, diet, etc. And drop by unexpectedly to see that everything is ok. Especially if a manager lives with them it's basically a guarantee that they'll do whatever the company wants.

It's okay, I don't feel like I belong in my own family. These idols not being that close is understandable to me. Just don't have fight and respect each other. That's enough.

I love the brotherhood between SHINee. They might not have gotten along before but you can tell they truly care about each other now.

You can work and live with people, consider them your 'friends' and not be close. I've had great affection for co-workers and roommates that I don't actually hang out with outside those environments... but I'm still happy to see them to this day, in a nostalgic 'Heeeeey, how ya doin'!' kind of way. Not close, but more than acquaintances because you have shared experiences. I imagine most groups are this way over time, particularly NCT. They're split into three different units/dorms the majority of the time, but on the occasions they are all together or are mixed for projects, they seem happy to see one another. Obviously, there are going to be groups/members that do NOT get along but are forced to be in each others company 24/7, living and working together.. Like, where you can't get away from that person and everything they say or do starts to make you want to strangle them... that'd be a special kind of hell and is probably how a lot of groups implode and end up disbanding. Especially with the girls... the amount of hormonal swings in a large gg would be TOUGH! 😳😳😳

I hope this will not impose that both Ming and Key hate each other....Actually They love each other but in their unique way

In my point of view about Super Junior, it seems like they do get along with each other, but as said in the video, co-workers might clash with each other. Like Siwon and Ryeowook's case, just take an example of you getting asked the same thing again and again. It does makes you tired :)

my class also has 23 people and we all do know each other. it is a little different since they rarely see each other but even us don't all get along, are friends with each other or spend time with each other. we kinda also divided into 3-4 groups. no matter how much we talk in class, when we go outside we just ignore each other. same thing happens in nct so yeah. some nctzens just need to understand that with those schedules is nearly impossible to be friends with everyone. i'm glad sm is trying to make them get all along and stuff but it's something hard.

im not even that close with some people in my own friend group, it wouldn't be that realistic to expect a group of people that a company put together to all just be the best of friends

Something I always thing abt is some of the age gaps. Imagine being your age and having someone 10 yrs older or younger than you living with you. My brother is 6 yrs younger than me and when we were 14 and 20 we were worlds apart. I can only aging the clicks and groups that form.

Recently Hyunjin and Go won did a vlive together and it seems like they're much closer with eachother now

no bc i bet those people expecting a whole group to be besties are also the ones who don't get along with half of their classmates in school, as a deobi and nctzen i've always compared big groups to my class. there are classmates u get along with but then there's others u would just punch in the face being professional on stage and having good teamwork is also a talent, and it's often overlooked imo

Nah. LOONA is one of the big group that all the members are very very close to each other, Covid already proved it.

I’m not surprised just like in the real world at work your not gonna like everyone or get along with everyone but you still have to be cordial and professional and at least respect each other cause you work together, it’s the same with kpop groups, you may be more so acquaintances than friends, you throw many different people together with different personalities there’s bound to be people who don’t get along really well or don’t mesh well together but can be cordial for the sake of the group at least their being honest about their relationship and not pretending their a super close family some groups are but not all of them

I really miss jonghyun, the moment shinne's name is mentioned I think about jonghyun tbh society killed jonghyun, I hope he is smiling in the heaven 😢❤💖
