I’m from Houston and it’s true we do love kool-aid pickles, but we call them frickles. It still taste like a pickle because it takes 2weeks to make them.The kool-aid didn’t coat the inside of the pickle, and you needed more sugar. That’s why when you cut the pickle, it was still green in the inside.

I'm glad I came across your comment. Everywhere I looked it said 1 week. So I guess I'll let them sit for 2 weeks instead.

Two mistakes he made with this: 1. Not enough sugar 2. Used pre-sliced spears, which is why the kool-aid didn't soak all the way through.
@toidean6333 жыл бұрын
So how much sugar? How will koolaid soak thru whole pickles?
@garcimf3 жыл бұрын
Toi Dean I seen 1 cup sugar, and to cut the spears in half so the kool aid soaks completely through the pickle. You can see in the video when he bites into it you can see the inside green still
@supermasterfighter3 жыл бұрын
You’re actually supposed to use sliced flat pickles. You COULD use whole pickles but it would take damn near a month to marinate all the way.
