Korda TV Carp Fishing

5 жыл бұрын

Korda carp angler Danny Fairbrass shows exactly how to fish in and around weed using simple solutions you can follow to catch more carp. This Masterclass chapter will help you turn a weedy carp fishing lake you dread, into something you look forward to fishing. Danny shares his knowledge, essential tips and specialist tactics to help you bank more monster carp. Fairbrass talks feature finding in the weed, helicopter rigs, the benefits of D- rig Kickers, and even weed raking, plus the specialist tackle used to get the best results.
This chapter starts at Embryo Stanton, Oxfordshire… a really weedy lake, typical of loads of lakes up and down the country (and in Europe) in order to demonstrate the effectiveness of fishing correctly in these conditions. Later in the film, Danny moves onto another Embryo venue, Cables Lake, in Oxfordshire.
Danny starts as he means to go on and talks location - it’s the thing most people get wrong or don’t put any effort into, but is key to catching more carp. Once in his chosen swim, it’s all about finding the right spots, and Danny explains his decisions in detail at the very start of the session.
When bite time comes and goes Danny decides to pull out a new part of his armoury… the weed rake! A margin spot is created with a little bit of extra effort, and that proves to be worthwhile later in the session.
Strong tackle is so important when fishing weedy lakes, and this is proven to be essential as Danny begins catching some beautiful carp in testing conditions. Two stunning old fish are caught in his first session, and then the following week the hard work is rewarded again with an amazing 30lb+ carp.
Fish safety is the most important element, and Danny talks through his weedy lake rig in detail, highlighting why he feels this is the safest way to fish in these conditions. Learn about the benefits of leadcore leaders, Heli-Safe Systems, and strong end tackle that will ensure you fish safely, but also effectively.
A selection of hard fighting and beautiful carp are the prize before Danny moves onto another venue in week three. Although a new venue, the same weed fishing tactics are applied and a 24lb dark mirror is the prize early on in the session. The stunning fish continue to come, and a 23lb+ beauty falls to the highly effective weed fishing tactics.
Consistency is so important in carp fishing, and Danny’s focus is to help the viewer extract as many fish out of their swim as possible. The tactics and information Danny shares in this chapter will give you the knowledge and tools required to fish weedy lakes safely and with new found skills.

Carp Fishing Masterclass Vol 6 contains five chapters of MUST-WATCH footage packed with the latest carp fishing tackle, tactics and tips from the likes of Danny Fairbrass, Ali Hamidi, Darrell Peck, Rob Burgess and Neil Spooner. A fantastic FREE set of carp fishing videos that will catch you more fish for 2019.

In 10 years time, there will be no need to plumb the bottom for weed, silt gravel spots. We can all cast out blindly, safe in the knowledge that we'll be fishing over a clean bed of dropped Korda leads.

Pov in 5 years from now :- Cast the marker rod out, pull back " yeh can feel the donk donk, of nice clean bar next to the silt pocket " oh so you found clean donks of the gravel bar then mate yeh ? ... no, it's the 3 and 4oz lead bar, oh nice one chief, it's a banker spot that brother. " Gonna cast to it, and spomb up ? ". .. nah, I'm just gonna fill both bait hoppers on my bait drone and fly it over and drop 4 stone of chopped cell and fibre boilies covered in phosphorescent pink squid and chip shop curry flavour goo ... Cool mate, " Give me a shout if you need me to take any photos for you if you catch one of the 90 lb'ers " .. .

Yes they promote their tackle alot but come on if you was in their situation would you? I've carp fished for 20 years!! I'm still learning cos come on not one rig does it all. Carp get smarter and smarter. Water craft is the most important part. What korda as done is modernise carp fishing! Well done Danny lad done very well for someone selling leads on the bank. Let's the haters hate. I'll continue to watch you videos even know I've fished for over 20 years cos let's face it! The carp will always be smarter than us. I like Korda’s attitude and passion for the sport, all hosts are great fishers and top of the sport, but us minions can’t afford to spend £1500 per reel ( they have 5) or 10-15 spare spools, that’s not including the rods,bait, bivy and Danny’s electric barrow. I know, I’m jealous and would love to fish with that gear, but I would be happy to invite the Korda boys to a little comp fishing with the same spec gear that I have and see how they do.......
@KordaTV
@KordaTV 5 жыл бұрын
Hi Mark, Fishing CAN become expensive like most hobbies but Danny does explain how the reels he's using are 'the rolls royce' of reels but continues to explain they aren't required to fish as seen in this episode and more affordable options are easily available. 10 - 15 spare spools is way, way beyond what Danny carries. The equipment used by Danny and the team is high spec because of the demands used on their equipment throughout the years and naturally they are in constant use on large projects, so it's essential to have the right kit. These are their tools and we're sure it's the same in any trade, a builder would perhaps use a far superior drill to your weekend DIY enthusiast but thats because his project comes to a hault if anything were to go wrong with it. Be sure to check out some of the simpler equipment used in our back to basix sections, showcasing some cheaper options that still perform great and would be suitable for use by the majority of anglers today 👍

Shane Evans Hey Shane, your absolutely right, most of what I said is jealousy, I love watching the Korda production and enjoy what they do and say, sometimes I think I can do as well without that bait and equipment they use, but I never have the time, I’ve been fishing 35 yrs and taught many anglers that now fish regularly and very proud of that.

@@markwallis5546 hey Mark. Your right top gear doesn't make anyone a better angler. Just helps with distance. I have bought mid price gear it never lasts. I have torrix te specials and torrix spod and 2 torrix marker rods. Basia reels. Only reason I got them 8 years ago is cos of Nash trash rods breaking, fox rods exploding with distance fishing, so I decided to buy top gear. 8 years later they are still looking new and still get me out as far as needed. I do understand that not everyone can afford top gear but I do believe top gear you get what you pay for and it lasts twice as long. Well done mate for helping people into the crazy world of carp fishing. I wish you all the luck with your fishing. Tight lines mate.

The only trouble with walking around the lake a few time,other anglers would turn up and take the swim you want.unless you leave a bucket in the swim and leaving all your gear in the car,there a great chance of getting it nicked.you can walk around the lake a few times if you own the lake.

Same goes for reeling the rods in and resting the swim while you go off stalking around the other side. Some other angler will usually slide in on a busy water and there goes the 9 kilos you've put out with no lines in the water. Completely unrealistic.

Hi Ian, Certain venues accross the whole country do give you this freedom but we totally understand what you're saying. That's why include a special chapter from Darrell Peck where circumstances are no different. We do hope you can enjoy and take something from both of these chapters

i understand the whole concept of your comment but he is on a syndicate. which was clearly stated at the start. and it even shown a random other angler doing a coin toss for swims which danny lost?? so actually i understand non of your message... if places are busy go in the week when its not as busy. go more private venues. pay for a syndicate. get there mega early. bear traps.

@@horekinf well said I don't think people truly realise what Danny has done for carp fishing that we all as carp anglers will benefit from, he's very selfless and passionate I'd like to see any of the people making these negative comment put 1% of there income into the future off carp fishing, if they even have a income.... uneducated idiots....

Can somebody tel me the difference between a pop up and a Wafter? I know the principals. But what situation favours? I’m a barbel angler, but I’m becoming fond of all this carp nonsense 👍🏻😂

A pop up holds your hook above the lake bottom, a wafter just hovers above your hook which is laid on the lake bed.

Possible to use the weight of the hook to keep a wafter down, a pop up sits higher up

John Dotcom what lake are you on mate ? Larky 2 is the easiest on the complex, this time of year you need to find the gravel bars that are near the island in the middle of the lake.
