Carp angler Ian Macmillan is a highly respected and has been prominent in the modern Carp fishing scene for many years. He is affectionately known a “tong” by his piers in the industry.
In this podcast Ian talks about his long career in the carp fishing industry including some of the best and worst decisions he has made along the way. He opens up about his life after being diagnosed with cancer, his very recent prognosis and his ongoing battle. PLUS loads of carp fishing tales to top it off.
He has enjoyed considerable success on some of the country’s best known Carp waters, including Wellington Country park and the Essex Manor.
Iain works in the angling trade, and has over the years, worked with some of the world’s leading fishing companies.
Over the years he has been a regular contributor to various Angling publications, as well as appearing on a number of different T.V programmes and films, including our original Thinking Tackle series.
After many years, Iain remains a passionate Carp Angler, who nowadays, likes spending more of his time fishing on the continent, seeking fresh challenges.

This podcast brought out all my emotions when I first heard it last year, because first of all it was the first time I'd heard about Jan's sad passing (as I'd been away from the scene for 6 years). Then hearing Ian's ongoing battle really opened up the floodgates. Although I'd seen him at shows I never had the ba** to say hi. He always seemed such an lovely, endearing fella. Both were legends in my eyes and I learnt such a lot from their videos. RIP guys and my deepest sympathys go out to both Ian and Jan's families.

For evidence of the effectiveness of the treatment please search "Andrew Beckley patents"/"Andrew Beckley patent" or search my Facebook page for information on other cancers. I lost my father to bowel cancer in 2002, it took my grandfather before him too. I've been researching ever since as I am at a greater risk due to the family history of it.
