I've had the Kore gun belt for about 6 months now. In that time, I've worn it almost daily, both with and without a gun. In this video, I share my thoughts on the belt, including the features of the belt, some of my quibbles with the belt, and my overall impression.

After using my kore belt for about 4 years now here is my review. The most adjustable, durable, secure, best looking gun belt I ever had. That sums it up.

Use obenaufs leather protectant. Best stuff in the world to care for leather. Use it on your boots, belts holsters etc. Be careful w brown leathers though, it'll stain it darker

I bought this belt and had an issue that was outside of the warranty. Their support team looked at the pics and simply said even outside of the warranty period that shouldn't have happened and sent a replacement. I just asked for instructions to prevent the issue because I wanted to buy a new one and they stepped up. Great company, great belt, with or without a pistol!

The have changed a lot since then. Now the internals are fully extended to both corners of the belt. They also have screws that dig into the belt along side the teeth. The reason the teeth push the belt outward is actually genius. If you pulled on both sides of the belt, the teeth will dig into the belt tighter because the mechanism automatically turns in that direction, ensuring it never comes undone. If it was done the other way, it will eventually pull the teeth outward and the belt will come undone.

4 years and Kore belt is still going strong! I bought my Kore belt summer of 2018 needing something sturdy enough to support a daily carry gun, good looking enough to be worn with a variety of different outfits and rugged enough to last more than a few months….All I can say is WOW. This belt has traveled with me across the globe, has been worn carrying at home, working in Qatar keeping my a$$ crack concealed and keeping my work pants up. And complimenting a pearl snap during a night out in Singapore. The finish on the buckle has worn slightly and the belt has molded to my hips a little but four years later it’s still going strong, ratcheting into place and supporting whatever I throw at it. I remember the first day I opened it up thinking “damn I hope this buckle holds on with this clamp and two set screws” and lemme tell ya. Hasn’t moved IN FOUR YEARS. This could very well be the best belt I’ve ever owned and I’m ready to buy a second color I think having withstood the test of time. If you’re on the fence, don’t think twice about this. I’ve gotten more than my moneys worth out of it. Thanks goes to Kore for making a great product.

I know this is 2 years old . However I want To add my 2 cents - as people are still viewing this video. I have had my kore belt now for about 7-8 months. I like this review! Although I think he was being a little picky about the tab that opens the belt needing to be designed a different way. I have never had the problem of the tab pushing open and changing sizes as I sit. Now with that being said - I own the casual belt not gun belt. I do understand there are differences in the 2 but I don’t think the tab would be to different . My buckles tab is exactly like this one. I have had almost no issues with this belt. The one issue I am now running into after 7/8 months of everyday wear is … the leather is starting to scratch. Not in a way like a scratch here or there NO. More in a way of 1 inch areas turning white from scuff marks . I own a black belt. I do not know what this is from as it has not been abused . My biggest disappointment is - Made in China, this should have been more clearly advertised on Kore’s website!

I've been using a Kore belt for the last 2 years starting with the leather oone and now the canvas. These belts are easy to adjust, never a sizing issue and insanely sturdy. Work perfectly for concealed carry as well as open carry with extra mags.

If the belt clasp closed in the other direction, you would always be able to pull hard and yank the buckle out. That is a potential failure mode that is avoided by going in the opposite way- so for me, that part is designed properly. I have several belts that use that method and its just something you have to account for if you cut your belt. Great review, thanks! I also like your idea to have the stiffener all the way throughout the belt. With my luck, I'm going to buy this belt and THEN they're going to update the model with that stiffener we want lol.

Yup, if it were the other way, the lever would fling open if you pulled the belt apart. The way it is now is proper.

My original kore leather belt is now 6 years old and I still wear it a few days a week to carry at work. I did recently get a newer tactical version for off work they offer in gray and wow they actually improved the buckles nicely. I would consider these the best belts I have ever had.,

My kore brown belt is 5 years old maybe even older and still holding up and wore it several days week to cc glock19. I just got their new x3 buckle with a black leather belkt and man these things are even better. Like tougher and up graded. they have screws to keep the belt secure in the buckles. They are built like tank now. I love them.

Those dents in the leather are from the buckle part that is supposed to look like a belt with holes pin that goes through the belt. That is what is denting the leather.

Thanks LTR. Great job. Good info. Would love to see an update on how the ratchet strip is holding up.
@LongTermReviews
@LongTermReviews 3 жыл бұрын
The ratchet strip has held up just fine. My gripes at this point would be two: 1) That the leather where the teeth interface tends to wallow out around the teeth over time. 2) The polymer reinforcing in the center of the belt can crack over time, leading to the cracked edges of the polymer rubbing against the leather internally, causing wear, and also causing a slightly obnoxious squeak. I still wear the Kore belts for dressier occasions, but I have a Blue Alpha belt that I've been digging for the last 6 months for under t-shirt carry.

Did Kore change the design of the buckle since this video was made because I am looking at the belt now, on 9/24/22 and the buckle still has the same type of toothy holder to attach the buckle to the belt but the buckles I am seeing today have two set screws to help secure the buckle to the belt. There may be some different modifications that Kore has made in the last three years since this video came out but since I don't own a Kore belt as of this moment I can't tell if other modifications were made in the past three years or not? Can anyone else help with this?

I'had my black leather Kore belt for years and have worn it every day. I love the belt and have not hd any of the problems discussed in the video, but I have had one problem not mentioned in the video and that is the the thin layer of leather on the outside has worn off on the part across my back. This is acceptable for casual everyday use because I wear the bottom of my casual shirts outside my pants, covering the belt. However, it is no longer useful as a dress belt because from the back it looks worn out, which it is. My recommendation is that if you buy a Kore belt for dress use, don't expect it to look dressy for more than about a year if you wear it every day.

You actually wouldn't want the locking lever and teeth to close the other way, the way it's set up now makes it so that when there is stress on the belt pulling the belt and buckle apart, it inherently keeps the lever closed and locked in place. If the lever and teeth closed the other way, you run the risk of the lever popping open if there is too much force pulling the belt.
