I know this might sound like the stupidest/ most random favour...but next time you go to a Korean restaurant, can you ask them what sort of base they use for their jiggaes? Is it beef base? Is that common? I'm planning a trip to Korea and I can't eat meat so I wanted to know if it was common for them to use beef base for their stews. I'm hoping they use veggie base but I'm not holding my breath loool LOVE YOUR VIDEOS!! xoxoxo

Korean here.common base for jjigae is beef or pork belly,also ham,sausage,spam etc. So yeah if you can’t eat meat it will be hard for you there,but jjigae itself has lots of varieties.for example sundubu jjigae,it’s a soft tofu stew with assorted vegetables and kimchi in a spicy broth.
