The quality of comments is inversely proportional to the number of subscribers. I admire people who try to do something different. From the reviews and press in Toronto, it seems the restaurant is pretty successful in making people happy and they are getting good value for money.

In Paris more and more bistrots are serving thai style steak tartare with lime, mango, lemongrass and chili pepper. A korean style recipe seems rad though I might try it. Also in more traditionnal recipes, not only can you spice things up with mustard but you're often given the option to use tabasco as well.

You have to try korean food, you won’t regret Koreans will probably never use tobacco over their red pepper 🤓

I eat traditional Italian gnocchi regularly (one of my favorite dishes) and have had Parisian gnocchi a few times. Tasty indeed but I'm intrigued that this chef deep fries them. That's a nice twist. Yup. I'd be all over that. 👍

Tosh T I fry my gnocci too because that's what I've seen a Italian chef do and it creates a better texture contrast.

wait did he just describe Banchan as crunchy and fresh (2:21)? I could be wrong, but isn't most banchan pickled (meaning a dish is at least one week old)? I mean Kimchi is fermented cabbage...

Do you have dishes that are butter-free? Most people don't like the lingering scent of butter on food, it masks the true flavor of the food and it is very unhealthy.

The ''french'' side of the dish just looks absolutely unnecessary. Why TF would you use good steak if you're going to slather it with sauce anyway? 99% of fusion cuisine is just trash

lol, the point is that it's a mix between two culinary traditions - French and Korean. It's what makes this restaurant unique. Good luck finding these dishes with their specific ingredients in a Sinchon restaurant. Korean American here btw. I think you just sound ignorant to cultures outside of ours.

Nominous You dont get the point about what i want to say. Before i saw the video after reading the title, i was expecting something more special like Jungsik in NYC which is a korean-french restaurant. I also run a restaurant so I know it is hard to making thoese dishes but I was expecting something much different. Btw I run a restaurant too I am not nothing against combining two or more culinary cultures anyways. So dont judge people that they are ignorant or way too conservative about mixing cultures.
