one of my ex-girlfriends was from portugual. her mom made the best chicken and rice soup that i've ever tasted! if you ever get a chance to meet and dine with these very polite and welcoming people, you will not get hungry! especially at a wedding, christmas or new years. i'm still trying to loose some of the weight. LOL! thank you both for a nice video. cheers from canada.

Here in portugal we call that soup "canja". That's like the default little meal from any mother and there's allways space for it

No, I'm actually from a smaller town close to the northern border with spain. But I think this soup that we were talking about is all over the country. You know, simple ingredients, easy to make, it's like the soup of the people.

Filipinos is like the one thing all my foreign friends love and stock on constantly when arriving Portugal. We have vending machines at uni with several snacks and this one friend I have takes several packages home every day ahah XD can't blame him, Filipinos are really addicting

I grew up on the cough candies! lol The white package ones are the tastier ones. Any Portuguese person would also be familiar with the green São Br`as variety! Those were strong. xD

The green São Braz were like a rarity for me xd. But be careful of the trap ones! I love the Dr Bayard ones, but there is a super similar ones called Dr Bentes >:( I hate the taste of those and I hate it even more because sometimes I would buy them thinking it is the other ones.. never again

Eso es por que no lo son. Filipinos es parte de Artiach que es la marca de Marbu, Chiquilin etc. Es una marca Española.

los Filipinos si porque son de Artiach y es una marca española, pero los Ruffles no son españoles porque los Ruffles son una marca americana, solamente que han creado el sabor de Jamón para ambos paises.

I'm so surprised you have tasted my country's snacks! I grew up eating most of those (expect the dried pear - Tbh, I think the apple or the strawberries ones are better😅). I live in a different country though, and now I really want to go back to Portugal to get some of those 😂 Hopefully rona will let me go back this summer.

I'm gonna be honest usually even portuguese people dont like the cough candies, its usually a grandmother thing, they always have them and make you eat one when you are sick. I think the older you get the more used to eat you get I dont know if it makes sense

For the Spaniards in the comment section offended about the Portuguese saying Ruffles(ham)is Portuguese instead of Spanish. It’s neither, Ruffles is a brand from the USA 🇺🇸 that made ham flavored chips targeted for Iberian consumers. So ridiculous.

Hello! I’m Portuguese and your reactions were priceless! Though I’m honest, I never tasted that pear snack, but I’m not really interested 😂 I stay with the Filipinos and Ruffles 😋
