After moving into our new Seoul apartment in February, we finally had Kyuho's family over. Kyuho's mom does NOT like cats, and she's scared of them. We got Beemo over 4 years ago, but this is her FIRST time ever meeting and interacting with him, and her first impression of our newly decorated apartment! ;)

He has wonderful parents.. The mom is so sweet complimenting their apartment and bringing them food and trying to make friends with the kitty. Truly a feel good video with good hearted people....

She is so loving to her daughter in law. My husbands mom is the same. One day my mom picked me up from the train station and drove me to my husbands parents house. My mother in law thanked my mom as if my mom was dropping off my mother in law’s daughter. My mom told me how special it is to have a mother in law like my husbands mom. I was given a birthday card from my mother in law and where it said, “Dear Daughter in-law” she crossed out the in law and wrote, “that I always dreamed of having” ❤️❤️❤️

I love that no matter where you're from somehow Mums and Dads being introduced to your new living space react EXACTLY the same. Mum takes the lead on the aesthetics and Dad looks for practicality

Funny, I didn't see that at all, I saw the exact opposite. Mum commented on the wardrobe, the usefulness of the cat tree, the good use of the table by the window, the necessity to conceal all the stuff you need to have in a home, while it won't clutter it. When she praised her daughter-in-law's methods she wasn't talking about aesthetics, she was talking about keeping a home organized and pleasant. She's definitely from a generation in which women took care of the house and, by necessity, needed the practicality to be there, since she's the one doing most of the cooking and cleaning. She was pretty awesome with Beemo as well.

Love how Kyuho's Mum interact with Beemo. How she wants to overcome her fear to be near the kitty. And also how Beemo is delicate and calm as if he could sense her nervousness. Pretty sure that little by little they can be the best of friends.. :)

Your mom is so adorable! I’m glad she’s opening up to interacting with cats. That’s a big step for someone who had a bad experience with an animal. Especially when you’re a child and have a bad experience, it forever stays in your memory causing anxiety sometimes.

Sarah's interactions with kyuho's mom was adorable, love seeing how Sarah's Korean has improved. Happy that the parents approved of the place. Makes me wonder about bringing my folks when I get settled in a house later on down the road. Beemo was great interacting with new faces. He's so plump I wanna squish him 😍

Holy smokes, your mom is adorable! She is afraid of cats, but she had the open mind to get past her fear, and she did so well, and it made her so happy! Great to see. Your cat seems to be a sweetheart, and I LOVE your apartment! It would be perfect for someone like me. I am single with no kids and one cat. I have lived in small apartments my whole life. Great use of space! Very nice video. Well done. :)

My mum wasn’t comfortable around cats either but when she had a water leak at her house she had to move in with me for a few months. She became best friends with my cats and they loved her so much. Both my cats died with only a few months apart and my mum was so sad too. 😞Will always cherish those moments 😢

When cat do that slow blink while your with them that means they trust you, and want to friends. Your shows a respectful distance but showed trust in you too. Animals are amazing, unconditional love.

I too have been both scratched and bitten by a cat when I was very young. It didn't deter me from being completely in love with cats my whole life, I have always found them absolutely adorable, never met a cat I didn't like. Despite having been bit many,many times in my life.

Kyuho's mum is so cute. She's really wanted to overcome her fear slowly with Beemo. And Beemo's actually did great tho, he's so calm and gentle despite having a guests over for a first time. I totally can feel how Kyuho's mum feels, because I was once afraid of cats before. And my dad is the one who made me overcome my fear by adopting a cat into our house. But she left us on 2017 :(

At 2:52 I love the shelf. My family has a similar one in our house, complete with electric candles, the family in old fashioned clothing, and awards that the kids have won. Also ironically cats are attracted to people who avoid them. Through no malicious intent, it’s just that cats that are introverted, like yours, see the shyness as fellow introversion, and not really noisy and loud, and are more comfortable around it.

You guys always have great content, but this video was beyond adorable! ❤️ I’m afraid of (large) dogs for the same reason Kyuho’s mom is afraid of cats. People are always super surprised because I’m “huge & tough,” but big dogs scare me to death! I had the same sort of “meet-and-greet” intro with my friend’s gigantic labradoodle pup, and I have mostly warmed to him (still scared he’ll change his mind and bite me 😬). Glad to see Beemo being his adorable self and making it easier on your mom. 😻 If I didn’t say it before, you guys have decorated the place beautifully! 🥰

Loved this video! Thoughts: Cats & dogs have incredible emotional intelligence - they quickly know how we are feeling. Our challenge is recognizing their feelings! One of my cats was so timid - if anyone reached out a hand to her, she disappeared. And heaven forbid one might inadvertently look her in the eye ! (We referred to her as the Empress of Japan.). (And actually staring amounts to a challenge - ) My current cat - 18 + years old - is still aloof , but now more inclined request nuzzles after dinner- or after meds! Congratulations! Beemo & Mom are already making great progress- good beginnings! Let him set the pace, & it will be perfect! Ľike us, each has an individual- unique- personality - generalizations go out the window. First time on this channel. It was a very heartwarming video. I remember showing our first rental home to our families. 25yrs ago and they were not as kind or compassionate as these parents are lol. My grandma (RIP) adopted a kitten 2 years befor i born (1975 ,im from 1977 ) "Minette" (RIP) our lovely cat ^^ i growed with she and she learned me absolutley all from cats ! i cryed a lot when we lost she ....this is how today i share my life with my cat and can't imagine one day without him!

Your cat is beautiful! The lady doesn't act like she "HATES" cats exactly; she just seems like she's unsure about it. When I saw the title of the video I was afraid she was going to be mean to the cat, but she is actually very nice. 😹
