Hi everyone! Here's a little trip I took a few weekends ago to Gangneung and Samcheok. The Sea Train has always been on my bucket list and, while it wasn't quite as magical as I expected, I'm really glad I finally did it. I had just enough time to grab a drink at a cafe I've been trying to visit for a long time too!

it was really cool! but yeah the first 5 minutes my body had to get used to it but i found that turning slightly in my seat helped a lot! and when i got on the train to go back i didnt feel it at all (but maybe by then i was too tired to care hahaha)

I had a similar experience at Jeongdongjin :-P I went to watch the first sunrise of 2019, got there, it was freezing, and there were soooo many people that I couldn't get home for another 6 hours... and all the cafes and restaurants were completely packed lol. So I just wandered around the town (which is pretty small) and made a little adventure of it ^~^ But anyway, for future reference, maybe don't go there to see the New Year sunrise like I did XD

I think crossing things off your bucket list is just entirely satisfying in itself, isn’t it? I wanted for YEARS to take my family to eat froyo. I described to everyone all the cool flavors and toppings, but when I finally convinced my mom and when we got there, most of the machines were broken and it was majorly disappointing. But I had a lot of fun and we did some exploring, and I’m just happy I was able to do it 😊

That is so awesome. While I was growing up we'd drive all night to Galveston Texas. So, when it was time for the sun rise we'd be able to sit on top of our cars and watch the sun come up. It was like a Summertime thing we did every year. We'd watch the sun set as well. It was so peaceful. Thanks for showing that. It looked like so much fun.

Cari! Thank you for the beautiful adventure! Always a pleasure! That cliff side reminded me of PCH going into Malibu. It's been so horrid there because of the rains and the loose dirt caused by the fires. Temescal Canyon was blocked for a bit. Malibu has lots of those pesky rocks falling all about. Your videos and ideas are such a breath of fresh air! Really glad you are considering HOW you will go deeper and make more. Cheers to you!

it reminded me a lot of pch down by where i live hehe if you ever get the chance, try taking the Coaster in san diego! the tracks are right on the cliffs in del mar and solana beach - its magic! and stay safe in all that weather!!

Oh, at first I thought people would be fighting over sitting on the side of the car closest to the sea. I was envisioning chaos where Train to Busan would be like a lazy Sunday train ride. LOL!!! The sideways, stadium seating arrangement is smart and clever.

Ahhhhh this is so lovely I had never heard of this sea train!!! I've been on the lookout for early spring blossoms everywhere to no avail but this made me so happy to see there are some somewhere!! I landed in Seoul 3 days ago last minute after my 6 month plan for China flopped and I've been moping around in a hostel trying to figure out what to do next but your videos have been 90% of whats been cheering me up and making me feel like its all going to be OK (the other 10% being 24/7 access to Pocari Sweat and the ahjummas telling me my elementary Korean is '잘 했다!') I loved this video even though it was less eventful than the usual but you were so cute about finding those blossom trees it made me smile. Also, you saying "lessons learned" was funny too, it's a positive outlook when things don't go as planned but you're the queen of handling those situations. When I went to Korea over the summer I went to the beach in Gangneung for a day trip and it was probably one of the best days of our trip I would definitely go back someday if I got the chance, especially since I missed out on some of the stuff there is to do there, it is such a beautiful place.

Hey! Cari! You have really nice videos of east sea of Korea. I just moved in samcheok as per company policy. It made me search on KZfaq to travel around here and finally got your channel. This place have a unique sea view in Korea(road to Taebaek and Hambaek mountain also). It also need a car to do it.

Although knowing me, I'd probably arrange to stay a while to get to visit more and not be set back by the hours to spend in local busses or such. Oh my God! That train :') I'm planning my honeymoon and I definitely wanna see this. I'm from Pakistan and not many people are aware of the beauty of Korea but this is the place I wanna travel to with my hubby 💕 Your vlogs make me so excited

Ah the beach view at dawn was so beautiful! 😭 and I get ya with the blossom excitement - I get pretty bad SAD and as soon as I see the first blossom here in the UK its like the light at the end of the tunnel 🌸🙌 I know you have some vlogs about vegan food, but what are the non-dairy milk options like at coffee shops in Korea?

i cant WAIT for spring!! and most coffee shops dont have other options but the most likely one would be soy milk. a few places are using oat but its more like specialty items like oat lattes :/ starbucks should have your back for other options though! and cafes that are vegan will definitely help you out (like Plant in itaewon)
