Nice, we also got this in Tâioân/Formosa, the techanic was invented in America(with rice, corn popcorn was invented thousands of years ago before hiztory) then Japan spread it to EAST ASIA, Chinese talking BS that it origin in CHINA with bamboo tube, there is no way to make it with that.

It's not Korean or Chinese. The origin of this machine is actually US believe it or not. Japan took that and miniaturized it, which was then brought into Korea and spread to China and other countries. They did a documentary in Korea tracing the history of this grain popper machine. The oldest one was made in the US in 1901 and was introduced at World's fair at 1904. But now it belongs to various cultures as a nostalgic piece of their past.
