they chose buddy system, the advantage they can go together but the disadvantage the choices for enlistment are limited, they probably choose that unit because jin is there and it was open for recruit when they were applying

I think you need to edit this to include the details of where j-hope is serving as you make it sound like he is in the same unit as jin, which he isn't. Also, according to Korean jin fans, Jin's duties are adminstrative which you should add as it could ease some fans concerns.

I admire that the members want to fulfill their military duty and they are giving all effort to their training and their assigned jobs. I however think it’s not right to have men that have spoken at the UN, specially invited by a major world leader to visit the White House,brought so much tourism to Korea, and broke through to the top of international music to be placed in the most dangerous areas of Korea! This makes me so sad. 😭 Tension with North Korea are higher than it has been in a very long time. The guys I’m sure are being good soldiers and going where they are told to go. Not wanting special treatment, but really is this where they should be?

@@EverRoxas You are right, but I still have a faint hope that at least their service life can be shortened & maybe the government will start to assess the situation more thoroughly & think about how much taxes the country is not receiving due to the fact that the flow of tourists has dried up considerably & the concert halls during awarding ceremonies with the participation of their most popular groups are not even half full without BTS.

You forget that they are seven young men who have been brought up to understand that they would keep this commitment one day for the love and protection of their country, their families and their way of life. They are still technically at war with North Korea and every man maybe needed one day to protect the country and their families. Would you want BTS to stand there and not have a clue what to do and rely on other young men to protect them or would you want them to be able to protect themselves, their family and country. Just because they have achieved what they have does not mean if that awful time happened that they would not be expected to take arms and defend their country so it is better for them to know how. You should stop thinking about it from your viewpoint and understand it from theirs as South Koreans.

Smart of them to go together, having seen many generations of idols i feel like that’s the best decision than to trickle them. Unless maybe those super big groups where it takes a decade for everyone so it’s less obvious someone is missing.

JK serving where there may be a lot of large weapon firing and explosions worries me, mainly for damage to hearing but also repeated concussive force (leading to brain or nerve damage). I hope protective measures will be taken.

@@EverRoxas Yes true! I love a good veteran story. I have family members who are peacetime veterans, including one who served in Korea in 1953 but they won’t talk much. I wish they would tell stories of their military time. I’m looking forward to BTS’ stories because I’ll have a chance to hear some of them. The members are such entertaining storytellers.
