Thank you for the video. Great memories of such an incredible era. Needed 40 maybe 50 to satisfy everyone commenting to maybe squeeze in Amigo from Flying Steps, Speedy from Battle Squad, Smoke from Phaze II, Ibrahim from Akteul Force, TealSteel from Street Masters, Vietnam and Gerald from Rock Force, Float, OZ, and a few others but you basically got everyone. Kudos to you. Karim, Thunder and Evo were some of my favs out of Europe, and they represented a point in time where European b-boys were truly ahead of the Americans, especially with guys like Storm and Maurizio. These guys were all originality in a pre-KZfaq era

Here are my new feelings after reading many of the comments (which no one will read mine anyway) You really must understand that many factors are in play for such a task as this. Much of this compilation is based on WHO was making Noise (being seen at events & getting filmed) at that time (mid Nineties) & how accessible the footage was to the World, especially our Author "KoreanRock". Also, what philosophy was being pushed at that time? (I.E. Power Moves vs Footwork, etc.) It's easy to watch some footage & pick out what or who you think is Best! But to have been there and seen it! Smelled it! Felt it!! Each night/day/event/battle!.....WELL, that's where MOST of your comments don't mean shit. Sorry, but I'm being REAL! Only the people in this list TRULY have the Right to rate it.....Even then, it would be Lop Sided. True, there are some who were left out. Some by accident, some because they really weren't ready. A lot of it is about personal preference, BUT Much of it is about understanding what this Dance is about! Even then....there is NO number 1! Except for Ken Swift! There will never be anyone better! 🤓🤘🏻😜✌🏻️

Very surprised how low Crumbz was he was the guy to be feared him and K Mel and Ivan would turn any battle around. Nobody from Skills Method, Ground Zero, Havik Koro, Circle of Fire, OSA, Amd many more surprised me. Crazy Legs and Prince Ken are Eighties absolutely they were relevant but won very few battle during that era. The west coast rockers were representing that lineage at that time. Easy Rock and Floo Master in particular. Is Ivan still rockin I have not seen him in a long time.

i'd like to see this actually split up 90-95 and 96-99 where early in the decade, europe was so far ahead of the game, and later in the decade when.americans got their skill on par. because really, if you looked at what next, storm, and swift were doing compared to everyone else, it was just mind-boggling back then. it's not like how it was nearing the end of the decade when there were many top crews in the us to influence each other. and let us not forget kwikstep.. i swear this bboy never gets enough props. not only did he heavily influence storm and swift, he kept bboying alive in the us when everyone practically stopped. he deserves to be higher on the list for his contribution to the dance.. much higher.
@TheBonus6 жыл бұрын
Exactly. Theres a mix in this selection between particular eras of bboying. I love the video but wouldnt put the top 30 in this order. May be like you said it would be more easy to do a history review with the top one of each year/years. Btw they are enough for a good documentary about inovations and styles from Usa to Europe to the rest of the world.
@zizzilock2 жыл бұрын
Second 2 none were also hugely influential
@imback4more4404 ай бұрын
You are lost. Europe was not ahead in anything. Nobody from Europe that includes storm and swift were not anything that was ahead of the game. They were still catching up. Float, German, IB and many more were doing shit in the 80s europe was cathing up on in the 90s. Those guys were still around in the 90s so what europe was doing doesn't count
@MikeJay-ei8dq4 ай бұрын
@@imback4more440 #1. Respect to Float. I know he died and I'm sure he had an impact on many people. #2. As far as I know, has nothing to do with 90s bboys which is what I'm commenting about, and what I said is what I know to be true. The only one that was on par with anyone from Europe was Kwikstep because he never stopped. Legs- nope. K Swift- nope. Mr. Freeze- nope. It took them time to get back into shape and then the REST of the US had to play catch up to them.. and that took a while. Please. If you want to argue about late 80s bboys being top shit in America, go right ahead. I won't even comment on it because I have no proof contrary to that and I couldn't care less anyway. But in the early 90s and for the next few years, it was Europe on top with RSC making a very strong showing with style, and that is definitely provable by the countless videos available online. But if you want to prove me wrong, and show me other US crews really rocking shit in 90, 91, 92, be my guest. I'd love to see itm and I'm not saying that smugly either. I'm American and I take pride in what NY created.
@imback4more4404 ай бұрын
@MikeJay-ei8dq for starters you don't know shit. Float was around in the 90s until he went away. If you think I'm lying then ask storm, emilio, swift and other european "breakdancers" who met him when they came to NY. If all you know for NYC is Rocksteady then you don't know shit because there were cracks and crevices of people breaking all over the city when people like think NY stopped. Why dont you watch Fabel's documentary the last Bboy in NY. You are right Kwikstep never stopped after he started in the late 80s. If you think he was at Roxy, funhouse, Roseland in the mid 80s when it was going down then you keep believing his BS Don't let me have to school you because you dont come from facts. Only hearsay. You can just stay on Rocksteadys dick and deal with rapist legs
