My favorite Michael Jordan story was against the Utah Jazz if I'm not mistaken. Jordan got the ball and dunked it on the Jazz's point guard who was much shorter than Jordan. As MJ was going back down the court someone (either the Jazz's owner or coach) yelled at him "Why don't you pick on someone your own size?" The very next time down the floor Jordan got the ball and dunked on the Jazz's center who was around 7 feet tall. As Jordan went back down the court he looked over to the man who yelled at him and asked, "Was he big enough?"

The American "Dream Team" for the Olympics had Jordan, Larry Bird, Magic Johnson and others on the team, they pretty much destroyed everyone they faced because no one had ever seen that much talent on a single team. Every time Jordan went for a dunk the goal lit up like a strobe light store as the opposing team had people at the goal to get pictures of Jordan dunking on their teammates. And all of them were just having a blast, most teams knew they were not going to contain Jordan for very long, especially with Byrd and Johnson feeding him the ball. You should react to that, it's amazing.

Yeah, a lot of the moves MJ did get from Dr. J Julius Erving, but he mastered the midrange fadeaway and was and is the most clutch NBA player in the history of the game, and yes he took what he liked from Erving's high-flying, but he modified it to himself. Also, if you look at MJ, even back in High School and College, he had insane athleticism and speed. From his early days in the league to later on, his game was modified to fit his aging body.

In fact, the maximum hang time a normal human being can manage is 1 second - no more than that. Michael Jordan's longest hang time record - the time when he remained airborne the longest - is 0.92 seconds. That's probably why he is considered to be so great. That is far longer than the average human being.

His hands were the size of a Centers. somewhere around 9-11 inches or around 25cm, which isn't much smaller then 7ft players like Shaq or Wilt Chamberlin.
