말레이시아에 온 것을 환영합니다! Malaysia is really a melting pot of various cultures (main being the Malay, Chinese, Indian, and of course other ethnicities), so you’ll get a diversified variety of different foods and flavors 😊 Yes you can start with KL and Penang and slowly explore other states. We also have a Korean community here in KL and we also have Korean Bloggers promoting Malaysian food😊

There’s no ‘rule’ when it comes to eating Nasi Lemak; personally I’ll pile as much of the condiments in one spoon for each bite, but mixing it up like you did is fine too. You seem to really enjoy the food that you are; perhaps a trip to Malaysia should be in your calendar some time ;)

Baba nyonya is not Chinese man and malay woman lol. Baba nyonya is peranakan, they are children of Chinese and local Malaysian back in the day (local Malaysian including the malay, indigenous ppl (orang laut etc). Good nyonya laksa should be slightly spicy and served with cockles, hard boiled egg and tofupok and sambal and shredded cucumber. Also, nasi lemak in melaka is served with stir fry watercress. I like to burst the egg yolk n mix it with sambal, anchovies, peanut and rice to eat it. I only eat cucumber as side dish.

In Malaysia, you would be given a trifecta of dishes that compliment the satay. First is the peanut sauce. Then the cucumber. Finally the Nasi Himpit, or compressed white rice that shaped like cubes.

All these street food in Malaysia seems to be fancy if put in the restaurant like this. I'm recommend you to come to Malaysia and buy food that you ate here from street vendor and make sure you got from the best place and ask from local people. Maybe because the difficulty in finding ingredients in South korea, their food not really look authentic, but if it tasty, say no more. Maybe I'm going to visit that place.

Most of the Malaysian dishes you had today were Malaysian-Malay food, since we are a very diverse country you can find many different styles of cuisine here like Malaysian-Chinese and Malaysian-Indian are just the start. I'd say the big three for savory is Nasi Lemak, Kueh Teow and Roti Canai. Teh Tarik is something of a signature in Malaysia too while Ais Kacang is our version of Bingsuso give them a try when you visit Malaysia.

One of the craziest thing about nasi lemak is the condiments😂 you can pair it with : 1. Fried chicken 2. Sambal sotong (squid) 3. Sambal udang (prawn) 4. Sambal ayam (chicken) 5. Fried tofu 6. Rendang (chicken/beef/cockle) 7. Chicken / Beef curry What else is there? I think there’s also the one with spinach 🤔 but I personally haven’t try that 😅

@@hoontamin yesss, Terengganu popular with Keropok Lekor just like Busan popular with their delicious 어묵. When u plan to come back here later, and if you are going to visit Terengganu, you can go to Warung Pok Nong to eat fresh all seafood 튀김. And pair that with our own "colek" (sauce/sambal). Its quite sweet actually, personally i love to pair with Maggi or Kimball Chili Sauce, but local do like eat with "colek". Then, drink coconut water (basically u can get everywhere in Malaysia hehe, do not buy from the container but pick the fruit itself and tell them no sugar (taknak gula) to taste the original coconut flavor. I think most expensive price only up to RM5.50. After that u can get Keropok Lekor (made from fish) its a local snack, you do find from street in other states, but original one from Terengganu. There are a lot in Losong area, me myself also have different favourite store 😂. You buy the fried one and eat while hot urmmmmmm perghhhhh sedappppp masyukkk hahaha. I also always buy in store fried one instead the raw to fry at home.

If you came to Malaysia,I'll recommend food such as Roti Canai- which is a type of bread that is usually served with curry gravy or sugar, theres also other variation of it such as Roti Telur(with egg),Roti Jantan(with two eggs) and Roti Maggi(with noodles) Bak Kut Teh- you dont usually hear much about this since its a pork cuisine in a Muslim Majority country, its a pork soup cooked with many herbs, theres a few variations like the Singaporean one but the Klang version is a must try. Yong Tau Foo- basically vegetables and Tofu stuffed with fish paste(or pork depend on the region)they're often serve with a soup or noodles. Prawn Mee- a type of noodles from Penang in a rich prawn soup with sambal(its really good) Pisang Goreng- basically fried bananas theres also other great food that others have mentioned such as ayam penyet, chicken rice, briyani, various type of Laksa and drinks such as Teh Tarik,Milo Ice,White coffe etc if you come by the right season, you can try our fruit such as mangosteen, papaya, rambutan, cempedak and star fruit(mangosteen is really good)

Why don't you try Arabic food? Like Saudi or Egyptian food, it is much more delicious

Actually hard to find in Korea. There was 1 Saudi restaurant in Seoul, but closed 3 years ago. There are 2 Egyptian restaurants, but one is opened only 1 day per week, and another has only barbecue. It's difficult to try various foods. I will search more.

There are a number of Arabic/ Turkish/ Egyptian restaurants near Itaewon Metro station. Look near the Itaewon mosque. Love your video, by the way. Do come to Malaysia :)
