As a boy, fascinated by techno due to the influence of YMO and KRAFTWERK, and started making music with synthesizers by self-education.After that, continued music production while being influenced by various music genres such as funk, acid jazz, disco music etc and also been active as a funk band keyboardist in Fukuoka for many years.
After that, as sensitivity to music changed, began to feel the infinite possibilities of techno, stopped band activities, and started solo activities.
Currently, as a techno musician, produces original music, distributes them online, and performs machine live performances.
The music produced is techno music with a unique world view that mixes various musical elements obtained from past activities.

Good job! I have the mini kaosspad and the mini kaossilator (the new ones). I try not to buy the actual ones, but it is so difficult. If I get extra cash I will buy these for sure, even in 2020. It is just so easy to make anything on the kaossilator

These are KORG's KAOSSILATOR and KAOSS PAD. KAOSSILATOR is a synthesizer. KAOSS PAD is an effector. Both can be operated uniquely by touching the glowing pad.

Hello! Great performance! It is inspiring to see how you utilize these instruments. Thanks for sharing your music. Can I ask one question? What kind of microphone are you using with the Kaoss? Also, is the microphone cable balanced or unbalanced? I have an SM58 that I want to use with my new (used :) ) Kaoss Pad KP3 and I want to get the right cable. Thank you for your time.

Thank you for your comment.😃 The microphone connected to the KAOSSILATOR in this video is "audio technica AT810X". It is a headset microphone. It's fine to use for a vocoder, but the cable isn't good. The material may be the cause, but it is easy to get tangled. As a result, the cables sometimes got tangled and took an unexpected amount of time when setting up live. It may happen because the cable is thin because it is a headset. If you don't have to be a headset, I recommend another microphone.

I don’t understand how someone can say “it’s hard to make a good beat on a Kaossilator.” Can you count to 4, or any multiple of 2 from 2-16? Can you hold your finger down? What’s so hard?

Making beats is very easy. Counting measures is also easy. However, for drums, you can only use multiple drum patterns that have already been set. Of course, there is also a one-shot drum part, but I think it would be difficult to input it exactly as you want. Also, there is no swing function. You can create a swing feel by using the slider on the left. I'm not sure if this answers your question, but I hope it's helpful. Good Luck.

@@kentechno It was more of a rhetorical non-question, in that I have pretty much all of the Korg Kaoss products, and you *can* do all of those things. You just have to want to do them, and work at it a little bit.

@@jukesjointOG KAOSSILATOR is a unique and rare instrument. I believe that various things can be expressed depending on the sensitivity of the person using it. I always include KAOSSILATOR in my Machine Jam set. This is because you can add many variations to the sound.

I have a pedalboard I use on the table top... it has a drum machine running through an effects pedal into the ditto X4 looper.. and my guitar running through the other effects pedals into the ditto X4 looper.. how do I hook up the Korg kaoss pad to the Looper to be able to affect the overall loop with the sound effects from the cord? Do I do this with MIDI cables?

Hi. I haven't used the X4 so I can't say exactly ... By connecting the guitar OUT → KAOSS PAD IN → KAOSS PAD OUT → X4 IN, it may be possible to loop the sound that was effective with KAOSS PAD. KAOSS PAD has MIDI IN and OUT. It seems that the X4 has only IN and THRU. You can set the BPM numerically for KAOSS PAD, or you can set the BPM at the speed you tap with your finger. Perhaps you can connect the KAOSS PAD MIDI OUT to the X4 MIDI IN to synchronize the effect with the loop sound. However, since KAOSSPAD is an effector for DJs, I think it is not suitable to operate it with your fingers while playing the guitar. However, you can hold up to 8 effects and memorize them, so if you use that function, it may work.

Certainly this machine is difficult to get a groove feeling. I've played keyboards before, so I tried to give it a groove when tapping the bass with my finger.

KAOSSILATOR does not have a quantize function.

@@kentechnoHowever, it will automatically be in perfect sync, if you hit beat 1 on… beat 1. Anyway, quantize isn’t everything. There’s a reason people have consciously moved away from on-grid beat-making.
