Does the PA3X have upright piano sounds??? I see lots of them on the Nord Stage 2 and hope there are some on the PA3X. I like many of the features of the PA3X and just wonder about the upright sounds.

How does this compare to the Tyros 4 features? What does it have that the Tyros 4 does not?

After 35 years of pro-use of several keyboards, arrangers, stage pianos, accordions, e.t.c., I can have my own opinion, and not listen to what "everybody knows"!! I you don't agree... ok... no problem! I own Tyros2, PSR3000, PSR S700, PSR450. That prooves that I like Yamaha! BUT... I' more happy when I gig out with PA1X pro Elite. So simple

Never tried an arranger keyboard, I had a Korg Kronos, but I am now going to into one man band set. Does this arranger have a sequencer where you can actually record a song track by track and add them into Logic like you can do on Kronos ? thanks

These demo's never show what you can do to midi files with the PA series. I have a PA800, and it's fantastic for being a one man band. The editing functions for turning crappy midi files into masterpieces is quick and easy - you can replay bad tracks within a song, then EQ each track if you like - re assigning sounds out of GM is a breeze. The dual sequencer is also another fantastic tool, you never loose a full dance floor! Tyros 4 - match that.

Kronos is a workstation. And i really like Karma. It makes it sound like an arranger. Want to try out pa3x soon. So far i have a nice park of synths but not one arranger. I always ask myself a question: do i really need a arranger when i have Kronos, V-synth GT, Alesis Ion and a PC? Anyway i think the Pa3x is a good instrument but bit expensive.

I am a happy owner of the Tyros 4, this keyboard is really a better bargain than the Tyros 4, it's packed with more features, offering much more, I would never have the courage anyway to exchange my Tyros for a Pa3X, for a lazy man like me, it would be like learning a new programming language, and I find it useless considering music is not business for me. I have never heard the Pa3X live, but I doubt it’s noticable different to the Tyros, it's quite a subjective experience.

PA3X is much better then any Tyros 3,4 etc. Much more power for making your own samples and recording performance etc. Much easier interface too.

I agree with you regarding theTyros4 speakers: horrible. But you talk about "editing functions", I'm not interested in editing sounds that are already perfect, like T4 ones. If I want to edit some sound, I edit it with the PC. In my opinion, Korg has fantastic synth sounds, but not good orchestral or house sounds. However, the best arranger is the best only in a personal opinion, and only if you can use it at the best ;)

Does this come with someone to play the gig for you, too? Seems like Korg's thought of everything else.....

hello my friend i am Robert from Sydney Australia i bought it from music shop korg pa 900 i play Arabic and Iraqi songs and this keyboard its very complicated when i change rhythm to anther rhythm at the same time because some of Arabic songs have 2 or 3 beats and when i change the voice the Arabic rhythm change with anther style and i convinced the pa 900 not good for Arabic music can you advice me what to do i need Arabic Iraqi sets please any one can help me the korg company do they have Arabic style like the 600 keyboard i want the rhythm to 900 i need answer please and i ask there is korg company in Sydney Australia if you know send me the address please

Sorry to retalk, but PA3x and Tyros 4 are keyboards from the very same category and deserve to be compared. And from all of the comparisons made everywhere, on the internet, or in studio, Tyros 4 always won this contest because of its excellence. Tyros 4 finally reached the highest level in quality, sound realism, capability and advanced functions. And to rectific what you said, Tyros 4 is only for experienced musicians. What really made te PA3x unique is the Vocal Remover and Chord Sequencer.

I totally agree with you, so why there is a lot of comments like "Tyros4 shit, Korg best"? I think the Kronos is a very good arranger to compare with Tyros4! There are too many prejudices...

I really don't know if you ever owned or even heard a T4 before, judging by what you just said. The price of T4 reveals the true capacity of it. That's why Korgs have such cheap prices. They are limited. While T4 brings the ultimate and thousands of posibilities, sound realism, quality, editing, functions, pretty much everything you want. In my opinion T4 isn't expensive because the money is all worth it! Those who judge T4 just buy the goddamn thing to change your opinion!

I have worked for years with pa1xpro elite, and Tyros 2. Both are great instruments. BUT... korg has much better keyboard, and more realistic sound. After 2 hours of performing, Tyros gets your yers tired, pa1xrpo doesn't. Of course hearing is a relative situation, taste too :-)

Even if it were in a cardboard box, it would sound better than the Pa3. The Pa3 isn't much better than the Pa2 which I owned for 2 years.

KORG PA SERIES FACTORY TONES ARE NOT THAT MUCH PERFECT BUT IF WE PROGRAM THE KEYBOARD WE CANT IMGINE AND BELIVE THAT TONE IS PRODUCESING FROM OUR KEYBOARD.....BUT ACCORDING TO YAMAHA KORG KEYBAORD ARE TOUGH TO USE IT BUT IF WE LEARN HOW TO USE IT IT WILL BE THE BEST... YAMAHA KEYBOARDS ARE ALL PRE SETED SOO WE FEEL ITS SOO GOOD BUT IT WILL NOT BE THE OUPUT KORG KEYBOARD IF WE WORKS..MY OPNION..

As from your tells and the way you are saying things, you're not even 35 year old...so your age is extremely questioning. I have my own opinion cuz i owned keyboards from Roland, Korg and Yamaha. I decided myself who is the best. Roland was good in synths back in the 90's, but not that good in replicating real sounds, Korg have their presets very well mixed, but still leaves the taste of the studio and Yamaha finaly achieved the highest ranking in sound realism and professional funcions!

I see lots of comparisons here between the 3x and tyros4. They are two different types of arrangers, intended to different types of customers. The tyros sounds great right out of the box, everything is prepared, you just have to play. The pa3x factory styles are rubbish, you have to work on it (and you can make it sound unbelievable, believe me). Long story short: tyros4 sounds great in almost every musicians hands by factory. But the pa3 is only for experienced users. Just an oppinion

I have Korg pa3x pro. I would NOT suggest to buy to anyone. It has a lot of problem. • Styles (except Unplugged session) are not remarkable. • Pad from 1 to 4, are in 90% not enriching styles, but actually making them worst. • Piano Concert and Grand Piano, represent the perfect Idea of "Two horrible preset inside a very expensive professional keyboard". • Despite 4 styles-variation, 80% of styles, does NOT have a 4 variation as it Should be: rich of instruments, with many drum nuances, and with a great ensemble of the instrumentale part. • Bass line is almost "missing" in 50% of styles: in other words, while the arrangement plays and the bass line is currently playing, you will not be able to listen to it. . And do NOT tell me that all this feature areasupposed to be "adjusted" or "programmed" . Honestly, considering their cost, this keyboard should be performing already perfectly while it's still into its Packaging. And listen: I have NOTHING against Korg. Ad I'm not an endorser of any other Brand. End last but not least...I'm a professional musician. Bye, and enjoy Music.

Tyros 4 looks and sound like a plastic toy comparing with the KORG PA3x

You don't have by age 35 years. So no talking about your experience. Korg has too artificial sounds and synthesized taste that pure and simple does not deliver anything special or worth! Tyros has TOO artificial sounds? Tyros doesn't even have artificial sounds cuz its simply loaded with SAMPLES! What artificial in that? Tyros 4 finally reached the top of the sound realism from all brands! It doesn't matter which brand you're fan of, T4 beats everything in sound realism!
